Im on chapter 16, this is a page turner for sure. At some point before last week, I thought this would be a safe book more focused on the pop world, but this is really in the cut, she is not holding back!

What most impressed me is how she is really an artist and music and dancing were always way to cope with life.

 

 

 

Also, I never thought her relationship with Justin was so important to her, at the time it felt like teen romance BS. The whole homemade abortion broke me. How she says when the relationship ended she was in bed for several weeks and that she lost his family, the only family who she felt cared for her.

 

Also impressed me how she felt invisible to her own family even when she the worlds biggest popstar and how from early on her family pressed her to show the media "she wasnt crazy or doing drugs" and never acknowledging she had a tough break up and was being bashed to promote his album.

 

I never imagined all of her family trouble in treating her like a commodity stand all the way from her debut.

I wish all the focus on this boom wasn’t centred around Justin Timberlake. For me one of the biggest and most sickening revelations was that the boys would be bought to her home for an hour a week, and even though they were there, she wouldn’t be allowed to see them dependant in her behaviour that past week. This poor icon.

Michelle sounds just like Britney in a lot of parts, the same intonations in her voice. She chose a great actress to read this book
