Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

I haven't finished yet but Britney is sooooooo strong. She's more powerful than she realizes. It's also crazy how a lot of the theories fans had back in the day about her purposefully not dancing hard or giving her all was because it was her way of rebelling against the c-ship were right.

Also, Justin is lucky. She still went somewhat easy on him considering what he put her through

Stayed up all night to read the book, took me seven hours.

The fact that Britney was able to survive all that is just… wow. What an inspiration. I will definitely be treating this book as my bible.

omg reading about her VMA 2007 performance is triggering (and the part about being able to see herself in the mirror :deadbanana2:). I can't IMAGINE the amount of pressure on her... and the aftermath of it... I still remember it, it was insanity. But like she said, it really wasn't that bad.

That, like a lot of what Britney has experienced, can be 1000000% attributed to full on misogyny.

I've spent an hour flipping through this book now after a friend shared a digital copy with me. When she writes about the conservatorship it feels like every word is flammable, the way she's able to expose the way absolutely everyone has taken advantage of her in such an eloquent and intelligent way is something I didn't see coming. I thought it would be more like "this happened, and it made me feel like X, and then that happened, and it made me feel like Y". But it's really not.

I'll admit I have made jokes about Britney's life numerous times on this board throughout the years, and now I wish I hadn't. Reading about her experience is harrowing but I'm also happy for her because this book is triumphant and the way she so sucessfully exposes all the injustice is really impressive.

this book is basically a reflection of how misogyny has affected every aspect of her life and career, from people in her family to the entire world. it’s a heartbreaking account of a woman so desperately trying to find her agency and constantly having it taken away from her.

Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medal. lion. He was flanked by two giant security guards. Justin got all excited and said, so loud, "Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz. Ginuwiiiine! What's up, homie?"

Sorry if this has been answered already but twice Britney mentions JL being either married or divorced. Did she secretly marry Casey?!
