The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation

Ryan
Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

Holy **** I now understand why the sequence of In The Zone is Shadow - Brave New Girl - Everytime

Shadow = Justin's response to her pregnancy, the break down of their relationship

Brave New Girl = moving on, finding new fun in life without Justin

Everytime = the realization of what exactly she gave up on.

I've always knew it was something like this, I have always thought of those three as her "personal zone," but now it makes so much more sense :cries:

She said they agreed to it. Which honestly is more respect to her and her body then. Her family ever gave so  this is not a really a villain moment.

Glad she feels comfortable and is free to share this private and hard part of her past

People still not getting that Britney NEVER ever cared about her career more than having a family. :psyduck: The whole "her career would..." means nothing. :katie:

Girl stfu because in that case, why would she have started a music career if she knew she would’ve been a mom by the age of 18? If having a family was more important than having a career, then she would’ve never signed a record deal knowing that the industry didn’t play that s***… :rip:

This was also released by People; which is much more trustworthy. I think the OP should reference People and not trash TMZ

Britney reveals in her forthcoming memoir, 'The Woman In Me,' she had an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake because he "didn't want to be a father."

“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” Britney writes of the pregnancy in the book. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

She continues: "If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

“To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."

they're implying that the way she's behaving is so abnormal, someone must intentionally be making her look bad.

He's implying that she's not free to appear in public or to fully make her own decisions.

Sometimes their takes are weird and I called them out too, but In this case I'm sure it all comes from a place of love and worrying. :Michael:

I always loved BNG because u can hear how LIBERATED and FREE she was at that time in her life. Also, she just seemed happier at that time... yes, she was partying a bit but she had a glow to her. In The Zone doesn't get the respect it deserves.

Yeah, after reading that Everytime and its video get a new meaning, wow, this is sad...

Can't imagine what it took for someone to convince her since all she wanted ever was her own family. You really don't know Britney if you think she'd put her career before her baby, no matter her age. We can say "her career this or that" but she was never that hungry for fame. She never dissed anyone, she never wanted all attention, all she wanted was to dance, make songs and have a family. This must have been really difficult for her, to give up her baby.

Wasn’t she like 16 when she signed the deal? As if any teenager knows what they truly want in their life

Right? It was all very direct in our face, no one would've thought this is what took place though.

That was a lot to deal with at such a young age and at the beginning of their solo careers. I can see how they made the right decision at the time, but the way Britney wrote it is that she knew they couldn't keep it but she also knew that it wasn't that terrible. I don't blame Britney or Justin for making this decision, but it certainly affected Britney more than it affected him, she was very young and very much in love with a man who based on what we've seen through the years, couldn't care less about her.

I know it's not their intent which is why I used the word imply, but it is part of the reason for their concern to begin with. I urge anyone with their stance to not just think of a place of love and worrying, but also understanding and empathy. :noparty:

Exactly and on that note, she was a teenager when she got pregnant. So what’s your point babygirl?

Not surprising to me, I remember reading on a thread on Exhale forum many years back that a close friend of Britney spilled this tea, but many didn't believe it as it sounded way too ridiculous, even the media didn't report on it despite rumors about it back then according to the close friend.

Yes, I remember hearing about this too back in the day. I believed but thought she was pressured by the label.

Justin's such a lowlife and pig. I feel really sorry for Britney because it's obvious she was pressured into it.

I'm kinda sad Britney admitted having an abortion, she will get trashed forever by some people.

Edit: Why am I getting downvotes? Nicki admitted having an abortion like a decade ago and she's still dragged for this to this day. Do you like Britney being dragged or something?
