The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation

Message added by Ryan,

Do NOT make negative comments about Britney using her then-constitutional right to have an abortion. She and Justin mutually agreed to the decision.

do we know how many units it has officially shifted and what is considered a successful memoir? Like how much one has to sell for it to be considered succesfull. thanks!

No official ones, only speculations.

There are contradicting information about the best selling memoir All over the net :deadbanana2:it's so Messy!

However, Brit's book was already Top 20 best selling books on Amazon (for 2023) with pre-orders alone

and after 1 day, it jumped several places up

-for Canada - from #25 to #14 (best selling of the year)

-for the UK - it went from #45 to #22

it is still the top seller in a lot of the bigger countries (some having several versions on the chart) (for other sites too, like N&B)

-Australia has run out of phys books

-Orders are getting cancelled by the seller

-Delivery times are extended.

Deffo successful and is doing very well for now.

She did no promo herself, so this it's doing well (imagine if she went on Oprah or sumt)

Some people hyped up for 9m or even 15millions, which is really unrealistic (when the record is bit above 3m), so any number we get might seem low (but still impressive realistically looking)

thank you so much for this insightful answer! I always struggled with how to sort of evaluate the success of a memoir but this helped. I guess anything in the hundreds of thousands would be really successful. Maybe she'll shift like 1M books? That would be insane. This counts all units like audio, digital and physical copies right?

Just finished. The strength and humor she has even with everything she’s went through is incredible.

I truly hope she gets to go on as many vacations and do as many silly Instagram videos as she wants without having to work a day in her life if she doesn’t want to.

That’s AMAZING

imagine if she had an album attached to this! She could’ve been doing numbers like she did in the early 2000s

Britney was never the one who wanted to push music like this, and it doesn’t even count on BB charts anymore! But I do think if some good music comes around with her she can see great success again, her book seems to be very well received with GP

I can see how it got mixed up with 15 million. Very similar numbers. :clap3:

Not even gonna lie, I was super relieved when I read this :skull: The way she framed it as not focusing on music at the moment definitely gives hope that she’ll record music and perform in the future. I know it sounds selfish but I don’t think I could live in a world without new Britney music.

Me too. WE KNOW that she is returning to music but ON HER TERMS. As much as I wanted B10 in 2018/9 and even in 2023/4...the former she was trapped. The latter...it would just be manjobi over again.

She has closed the chapter and is in SUCH a great place to rediscover herself. From there, top producers and writers will work with her to create a masterpiece (if she chooses).

Give her 1-3 years and she will be back and serve her magnum opus one final time.:heart2:

Well TMZ said that it's 400k to 1M, so it's very possible

I just read that non-fiction books generate around 10b sales yearly (the music industry in the US alone accounts for 15b, for comparison), so I think 400k first day and even a week - should be huge.

Thank you to Britney’s second fan base for keeping us updated on her book sales!

OT: 400k in one day is HUGE! I wonder how much the OP’s fave would sell in a day if she released a memoir.

I read it already had 9M copies sold in pre-orders alone :rip:

I knew I cannot trust Britney stans with receipts.

Anyways, congrats to the Princess of Pop, cute numbers.
