She has nothing left to prove, and you losers still group her with washed up fads that haven’t been relevant since the 2010s. So, why? Your arguments against her are nonsensical. trainsskyscrapers Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Usually she has built on the ideas of others, and she tends to be a "stunt-queen" who needs attention, thus craving credit for concepts that may have previously existed or have been gestating already. Being a singer with mediocre vocal ability is also a strike against her. From being a country act working with Max Martin and dabbling with pop (Carrie Underwood in 2009), to fighting for her masters (that she literally had a documented chance to buy but refused- only to make 4/6 albums she needed to buy them in 4 years ), to a full-on female stadium tour. It's been done before, and well, and by singers with better use of their chief-moneymaker, their vocals. If she wants kudos for the execution of her concepts, sure. I can give that to her. Do I wish some of her executions were done by any artist with decent vocal chops so I could truly support? 100% yes. 3 4

I wonder how many songs do you hear from her to claim her lyrics is “usually childish and cringey”, probably just ME! and SIO? The reality is usually the opposite lolwhen her stan start to talk about stats, her haters like you suddenly jump out and try to drag her artistry and lyrics, saying her music quality is unrelated to her success. But she is one of the most acclaimed MPGs that ever existed and recognized as the greatest songwriters of this generation. For every additional album she made, she would gain the masters of a previous album but now they would own the masters of the new batch of albums. Aka they’d currently own Lover through Midnights, hypothetically speaking, and Taylor would have merely unlocked the rights to Debut through Red. That was not a good faith deal and she was right to refuse it. 6 1

Taylor having huge achievements does not mean other artists' achievements aren't anything. I love her so much but as someone who stans a lot of different artists, Swfities have been stepping on toes of a lot of different fandoms lately. If you guys keep bombarding everyone with saying "Taylor is better than your favs" based on just metrics alone of course people will start tuning out her achievements as just mere numbers for Swifties to brag about. There can be many "biggest artists." Swifties honestly have become even worse than BTS Army in terms of steamrolling other fanbases and artists. * ALSO forgot to mention the casual racism/microagression against POC artists/fanbase.
