Mrnoniee Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Like you could swear she was collecting them plaques, getting billions streams and topping charts with the hype around her, but in reality: Her last top 10 was YEARS ago with WAP (Cardi feat.) = 20 Weeks on Charts After that she released MANY singles (pure rap, pure pop, rap-pop, hip/hop etc.) The most she ever got closer to a hit was with these efforts: Thot **** = 20 Weeks (top 20) Body = 20 Weeks (top 20) Cry Baby (Da Baby Feat. ) = 20 Weeks on Charts (top 20) Beautiful Mistakes (Maroon 5 feat.) = 25 Weeks on Charts (top 20) Sweeter Pie (Dua Lipa feat.) = 21 Weeks on Charts (top 20) Yet all these singles FAILED to become solid hits for her - She got LOOKS - She got BARS - She got SASS - She got TALENT - She got GP (Twitter) Support - She got Awards - She got Critics Support but isn't seeing Chart Success. Like what's LACKING? I know the term Chart Poison is thrown around loosely here but Discuss
Armani? Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Sweetest Pie peaked Top 20 only for one week, then was just carried heavily by radio. Not like the others that were actually streamed.
Popular Post Dialamba Posted September 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 30, 2023 Well at least her songs are charting for weeks. 10 7 1
Armani? Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Body & Thot **** were solid hits, especially Body Heard it everywhere during Covid 10 1 3
ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted September 30, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted September 30, 2023 She hasn’t been releasing music that much as of late since she’s been dealing with label issues and court case with a man who shot her. Give her some time to release and let’s see her next era does. 11
KatyPrismSpirit Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 shes just one of those covid-acts tbh. I havent heard about her since literally Sweetest Pie and that was a flop. She went for the Nicki co-sign, the Bey co-sign, the Cardi co-sign the Dua co-sign… like theres no more artists left that can help her career. Bongos flopped as well. 3

Blaziken Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 She’s the female dababy, one dimensional and boring plus full of controversy 1 7

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Well at least this bop was #1 for 10 weeks in my household 6 1

Smarticle Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 She's already a rap legend she doesn't need to chart
TiaTamera Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Since when was top 20 not a hit? Y’all need to stop holding pop girl standards for the rap girls. The only female rappers who can come close to pop stats were Lauryn, Lil Kim, Missy, Nicki, Cardi sand Doja and there’s a HUGE gap in between the 1st 3 women and the last 3. (I’ll throw Iggy a bone & include her too). even with all the success Nicki has, she still hasn’t bested the top 10 pop girls. Not even top 20 if we’re talking from the 80s till now. At best she’s at the lower end at the top 20, but even still she will be the only female rapper. I understand that this is a forum for stanning and such, but y’all really gotta learn how to just listen to music just to listen, be a fan of the artist because of their art and not because you want to vicariously live through someone else’s success. 14

ifyouseekLEM Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Because she doesn’t have anything of substance to say.
