Over the course of 40+ years, Halloween franchise has produced 4 good movies: 1978, 1981, H2O and 2018. They gave gold to the horror genre.
Unless they have something along those lines good enough, I think it’s time to pause for now or stop.

I don't even like Halloween II (1981), to be perfectly honest with you. But yes, that film is better than the rest of the installments (aside from the original, Gordon's remake, and H20).

Oh, it is definitely below 1978, H2O and 2018, make no mistake, but that one is the last good enough option/limit.

Halloween (1978) is one of my favorite movies of all time…..

But they have BUTCHERED this franchise beyond repair. Too many bad movies. Let it die

They should give it to whoever has the Jason or Freddy rights so we can get a crossover :duca:

I don't know if the legal barriers have been solved with the franchise or not yet, but Friday The 13th is really the only one in need of a reboot at this point.

I seem to recall a Friday The 13th TV show is set to premiere on Peacock at some point either this year or next year? Apparently they got approval from the rights holder and were allowed to use anything from the franchise.

Another commercial and critical bomb for Michael Myers, please hang up this dead series.

What they really need to do is properly reboot Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

I thought part 4 was better than 2. Way more atmospheric, a killer opening credits sequence (best in the franchise including the original), good supporting characters, and a good story.

GOD Zombie basically had to be begged to direct both times. Maybe him not being a cringe fanboy is what gave him the distance to make the best films of the series!

A series would be cool but it's time to let the movies go.

I’ll always welcome more Halloween films tbh they’re fun to watch during the season! Would love if someone completely redoes the franchise and have it take place in the 70s/80s! The flashback sequence in kills is one of the best of the entire franchise. Just pls no more bizarre love stories thrown in!

Can’t they come up with a new killer and make a new franchise.

His first Halloween movie is cut above Resurrection though. And Halloween 2009 is… a cut below. :celestial3:

Besides the original movie this whole franchise is plain and boring. Michael as a character has nothing to offer.

Halloween was really fresh in the 70s and you can see how many franchises are inspired by it. But it’s completely dusty nowadays and brought nothing but a little nostalgia in the recent sequels.

Let it rest.
