Did Doja's 'i hate my fans' + Attention ruin her momentum?

She doesn't care. This album is basically her trying to find her true diehard fans. People who likes her as an artist and popstar. Not people who liked her because she looked sexy with long hair.

All these essays and she’s still the most successful female rapper out right now by FAR

Like… it’s fine. She will be fine. PTTR showed people don’t care about her scandals, and the whole fans thing was overblown, and even I was annoyed af with her during that. Outside of ATRL though, I saw most people agreeing that stan culture is weird and annoying most times, so most people agreed with her. Now I just see a lot of Doja showing love to fans and people saying “Oh this was the girl people said hated her fans?” So no, I don’t think that controversy hurt her.

Attention was a disaster for a lead single though. That definitely hurt her hype a bit, but PTTR recovered. Agora Hills will probably be enough to give the album a second nudge, but it’s obvious that this is an arts not charts album, and she delivered on that front. It’s really not a dire situation in the same way a certain other rapper’s situation is.
