Taylor is not average at all, she is literally the epitome of caucasian beauty standards:celestial5:

I think that standard might have changed over the years for a lot of people in the same way artists all get the same surgeries these days

IMO Lady GaGa is not ugly and she has a thin attractive figure .
Ok the other hand , P!nk and her punk and unconventional image are a better example …

kelly clarkson*, the ollie guy, lewis capaldi, etc...

*she is pretty, not being a hater at all, just doesn't care about style/being fit and is still massively successful.

Yes, you can, but it's more uncommon. But you gotta be really talented to compensate for your lack of "conventional beauty" though

It's surprising, but a majority of these middle aged white women actually find this kind of "visual" attractive, that's why he's so successful in the US lol

I think it also majorly depends on what your brand is. Kelly was always girl next door so she found success in that lane. She wasn’t ever marketed as a Britney type of artist.

Also Kelly’s major success was when she was thin / styled well

Not some of you in one thread saying Taylor get to where she is because of her conventional beauty look and now in this thread call her average and you can easily find some look alike on the street

If she wasn`t an artist, she can easily be a high fashion supermodel IT girl in her skinny days, and then gain some weights and she can be Miss universe winner lol.

Baby not you using this gif as an example of Taylor’s “beauty” :thing:

Looking like Glenda Ray’s twin, baby those lips, blue eyes and lashes are spot on.

Some of you being out here trying to convince people that Taylor is unattractive or below average.. what an insane take actually. And with a moderator supporting the statement nonetheless:rip: only on ATRL I guess. Wasn't it not that long ago this forum had a discussion of Taylor allegedly only being successful because she's pretty? So which one is it? Y'all gotta start making up your mind at some point.

Same goes to Billie Eilish - also rather stunning. If she's how you think below average/unattractive people looks like.. go out and re-align yourself with reality. Some of you are so incredibly out of touch. This is why I always say gay/queer men are often times equally as toxic and sexist as straight men. Y'all don't get a pass just because you like d***.

Taylor is an average looking good person that can look now very attractive cause She has money.

There is nothing toxic in saying that :rip:.

I think it's the same for Beyoncé. She is (was) an average good looking person.

Or for Adele.

So this thread is kinda of pointless. Almost everyone here could say Calvin Harris is famous cause he's attractive but he was ugly before being famous so he's not famous cause he's attractive, he's attractive cause is famous, as with 95% of celebrities.

So you agree she's very attractive now and was a good looking person. That's the whole point.

The majority of people referring to her as unattractive/below average were not talking about pre-fame times, a lot of the pictures posted were current. Obviously, with a team and all sorts of cosmetic procedures people in Hollywood undergo through, celebrities become more 'attractive' over time -- but frankly even then, I'd still have regarded Taylor as being fairly conventionally attractive. Perhaps not stunning or a supermodel, but she was certainly never unattractive.

I will have to hard disagree on this one. Beyoncé has always been very attractive. The average woman does not look anything like Beyoncé, before or after fame.

This thread is largely pointless, that I agree -- but it's also why I posted. It's important to point out people's standard and definition of "beauty". The Hollywood brand and standard of beauty, in a lot of the cases, is never average.

When you start freely branding these celebrities as unattractive or below average, it backfires; because if they can't be considered attractive, despite having a whole team working on them and practically unlimited access to products and procedures that can make them be more attractive, what does it mean for the rest of us exactly? The Hollywood brand of beauty is not accessible and/or attainable for the average everyday people. This kind of mindset is both toxic and out of touch, and will only instill unnecessary insecurity in people.

But that aside - I understand your point that a lot of celebrities are perceived to be more attractive than they actually are because they're famous. I can agree with that.

Yes. I mean look at artists like Adele and Gaga. Adele looks fine now but before her surgeries and weight loss she was not what someone would say.... star material. Generally people still focus too much on looks though.

Beyonce was pretty when she was younger but she definitely got better looking as she got a little older (plus a nosejob). :michael:

In what world is Taylor average looking? Just go outside and look around! She is clearly above average

i feel like most people in here are trying to debate if above average people are ugly or not... when they are obviously better looking than most people.

we're all a little chronically online. someone wrote about this, the "beauty overstimulation". social media prioritizes more attractive people and everyone we end up seeing is somehow gorgeous. standards are shifting towards perfection when it shouldn't be obtainable.

just go to the grocery store and see some normal people.

The high standards in here like what do y’all rate yourselves :rip:

I feel like most entertainers are still relatively attractive, also they usually become more attractive because they get the best products, often get cosmetic work done, and have a team of people styling and doing their makeup (for the girls) whereas the average woman only gets professional makeup done once in their life on their wedding day.

There are ions of unattractive women and men who are successful now and back in the day. Even ones who aren’t to

that talent but just have good songs.
