I can see that. But I blaim the pandemic it brought nestolgia into mainstream and made it more popular. But Gen-z themselves seem more interested in older music and I think that’s why pop girls are busy rediscovering older music and attempt to bring something back. I mean it worked very well for the weekend and Dua lipa during the pandemic. So now labels are probably pushing for pop girls to focus on discovering an older sound and make it their own.
