I mean, other than MJ, she's pretty much clearing everyone. Mind you, she is in the 17th year of her career. The movie will only make her that much bigger. 1989 TV will be massive. The debut of her next studio album will be astronomical. By then she'll be nearing her 20th year. Keep in mind even Madonna hit a wall with Erotica, 10 years in. I know we sound insane but that's only because what she is doing is insane, and that's where the dislike comes from. "Her fans" is just an excuse. All stans are unhinged. The definition is literally STALKER + FAN.

it's pretty simple - being the most commercially successful female artist of the last decade or 2 and on her way to becoming the biggest of all time there are bound to be people who will disagree with that because in their personal opinion, Taylor does not deserve it, and in the end that's okay, facts are facts and feelings are feelings and everyone has the right to the latter one

I don’t hate her but I think her talent doesn’t not match her success. She is a pretty mediocre singer and performer. I also think her placing so much importance on romantic relationships instead of self perpetuates young women to never develop self-identity.

The problem here is that (a portion of) her stanbase here can't fathom this and believe that every form of slight critique about her (like her private jet usage) is some sort of blind hatred and that everyone that does this is an OTH that only hates out of jealousy because Taylor is more succesful than their own fave(s) 

 

On top of that, the constant downplaying and diminishing accomplishments of other (female) artists to defend Taylor. Constantly stating that Taylor's music is "superior" or "better" simply because it sells more or gets more streams, or downplaying other MPG's catalogues as fast food music (when in reality she's just a pop singer like any other MPG)

 

I truly believe that some Swifties suffer from moral superiority complex except it's not about morals, but about the music they like and how their taste in music is superior to everyone elses taste.

 

No you're right it is straight up moral superiority complex. They self-insert into Taylor's holier than thou music and attitude, and use this to prove to themselves that they're not losers and won from the shallow mean girls in high school (Britney, Beyonce, etc)
