Hollywood Records and RCA in a battle to see who can be the worst record label

The fact that those two were the labels Miley spent her whole career with, until 2021 :deadbanana4:

The part about sueing radio stations who would play it is so weird, like why would you sabotage your own artists like that :deadbanana:

I guess the record wanted to give us a new pop icon like britney , its a pitty when the record labels want to transform an artist to what they want to push

So it did have a music video, but it was an edited live performance with added iMovie effects.

The way everyone agrees this is a perfect pop song and she has grown adults stanning in 2007 :heart2:

This makes so much sense though, it always confused me that SYA was MMC’s first single yet it came out months after the album release :rip: Maybe Hollywood didn’t see MMC as a legit album/era until SYA organically smashed and forced their hand.

so they were gonna waste money on a lawsuit but not promo? :rip:

They wanted control, the song smashing only would prove they were out of touch.

It’s so dumb but white men with money in suits, what more could you ask for :toofunny2:

The way I haven't heard 1 good thing about Hollywood Records :deadbanana4:

I have no idea why Demi stuck with them

when they are the reason she didn't reach her full potential

She could have paid for it herself.

This is true. She was very rich already at that time and many artists have funded videos for their music they love, like Britney for example.

Such a dumb label. See You Again is a great song and its stats prove the public was here for it.

What's a Start All Over even? Never heard that song.

One of the best pop songs and debut singles of all time, oh what could've been with a music video :superman:

Because ATRLers are clueless. Miley was smashing as Hannah and herself.

*new* ATRLers...some of us were around for the days Hilary, Miley, Selena were smashing in their early days.

Pop and pop cultures never been the same tbh.

The label was really dumb. They ruined the career of so many artists like Jesse Mcrtney. Even with some of their big stars like Miley-Demi-Selena they **** and the profits were there :giraffe:
