So ashamed of my people. This is why it wouldn't be so bad if the great replacement theory was real.

Literally me when SNTV was announced.

Taylor is such a dedicated artist and she deserves the world applauding her every time she gets to release a moment of her career becoming hers.

Don’t really get what is exciting about a re release? If it was a brand new album I would understand but :skull:

We typically only see this type of erratic fan behavior with boy bands/kpop/hot men from teenage girls with raging hormones, pop divas/divos that really play into the larger than life character, and singers that represent underrepresented groups/minorities. None of these are categories Taylor Swift belongs to. She comes across like a regular girl from Utah, not a huge popstar phenomenon that makes people go crazy. On top of that when you realize they’re going wild over music we’ve all heard before makes you really go hm . Especially when fans have been complaining about rereleases sounding a mess compared to the originals. :ace:

Me personally I would never go out of my way to drive through potentially hours of traffic just to stand outside of a stadium to listen to a show I didn’t get tickets to. That’s a different level of unhinged imo. They embody this emoji :duca:. It comes across cult like to outsiders :worship2:. Swifties this is not a drag and I do not have the patience to argue back and forth. I’m just trying to explain from my point of view why these types of videos get this type of response as seen in the thread. I really noticed it when I followed a tiktoker that went to multiple shows and her entire account content went from her original niche to pretty much only talking about Taylor swift for months and months. I had to unfollow it was just too much after a while. But if that’s what makes you happy in life… you do you I guess.

For me it's two-fold: her voice has matured and it changes the songs (some much better, some a tad meh) and there are several new songs.

Edit: personally not excited for rep tv bc her voice had already matured, and I don't really care for it so new songs are meh.

I can agree with this statement for her early albums but 1989 is going to sound exactly the same. I would hope the buzz is for the new songs.

The way she’s convinced her entire fanbase to be excited to re-purchase music they’ve already purchased needs to be studied. Girl has created a zombie fanbase that buys anything she releases  and dedicates their lives to finding “Easter eggs” :rip:

I agree with the comment about sports teams though. If straight men can act like children over sports then it’s not anymore shameful for adult women to behave like that for Taylor. I think they’re both weird but just my own opinion :rip:

Strongly disagree. Hearing This Love TV made me realize how much of a glow up 1989 will get. Her voice changed after 1989 for sure.

In the Taylor mythology each era has a characteristic color, 1989 is blue

The way their scream is slowly getting louder, its just depend on the delay of the live stream lol. A kii.

Some of you have never attended a UEFA champions League final or FIFA final. screaming, cheering, meltdowns there are much worse or intense than this.

Yeah the sports comparisons don’t work cause there’s no competition happening to hype up a crowd. There aren’t two teams and the fans aren’t trying to out do each othe. I would say a mega-church a is more appropriate comparison

Is it a little cringy? Sure. But they're boosting the economy and having a great time all together experiencing this moment.

We all do "cringy" things that bring us joy.

I wish my main fave have this kind of work ethic.

So excited for 1989 TV tho :jonny6:

I get being excited about an artist, maybe even irrationally so - but it’s not like this was a surprise lol? Like they knew this re-recording was coming. Does it really warrant allathat? :rip:

Cause this album is special. This is the album where so many got into her.
I stan her since 2008 but to me she was mid and i only checked her singles....Once she released 1989 my perspective about her changed
This album has a very nostalgic feeling. Is also The one with the biggest classics. The poppier one.
The most sophisticated aesthethic from all of them. Is like Gaga re-releasing the Fame Monster or Katy Teenage Dream.
It would be the most exciting thing :gaycat4:

It’s mostly to “fit in”, hype and because it’s trendy and cool to like TS at the moment. The Eras tour is like a movement and everyone is talking about it and it’s a fear of missing out. They hype each other up for the sake of the “feeling” not the actual topic at hand. It’s like a drug, dopamine rush.

Noting to criticize in the TikTok clip — the swifties outside the stadium were acting their age. It's 100% innocent, legit fun. Unlike their older and far more bitter co-fans out there on the interwebs, being hilariously miserable about Bey's success.

That’s me at home, leaving a Teams meeting, citing connectivity issues. :jonnycat:
