Do people actually get cancelled for "hostile work enviroments" :deadbanana2:

the sexual harassment accusation could be something, but do we even know the extent of details. I keep seeing they were "pressured" to mimic sex acts but was it in choreo??? just randomly??? like idgi

Armie Hammer (a man) literally got canceled in 0'0 seconds. So don't play the gender card in here. Injustice happens on both sides.

PD: Armie after all won't be charged due to lack of evidences.

Every story has 2 sides so I’ll wait for her statement. It’s getting harder to defend her though

Usually on mass cancellations I don’t get surprised bc somehow i kinda always expect some people to be trashy, she’ll be the first one that I’m actually disappointed :katie:

No, seriously when was the last time a scandal has actually ended an artist? Outside of people who actually go to jail like R. Kelly

As soon as she releases a bop, everyone will forget about this. Same for Ariana Grande and Doja Cat

Ellen is thriving nowadays?

Exactly. Especially black women

Even if somehow this turned out to be false i think her career would be deeply affected either way

No. It’ll blow over.

People were already eager to cancel a fat black woman and she just gave them the perfect reason.

If she were a white cis man people would find excuses to protect him.

I won't defend what she's done but a man would get away with It.

She was already over before this. She got lucky with About Damn Time but everything after that and the album bombed heavily.

This was the final nail in the coffin.

She was already on her way out IMO. I doubt she'll get a hit after this.

Hmmm you never know in the streaming era. She doesn't have a solid fanbase, and a scandal of this type is not good for anyone but let alone for someone with no fanbase.

People are NOT smart, they have NOT read into this AT ALL and are just vultures.

Like, who GOES to a strip club and expects not to see nudity. :deadbanana2:

Her big issue was mixing friendships with employees.

I mean, I had a fishy feeling about it when they were accusing her for commenting on their weight and the example they used was the biggest reach ever. a "dirty look" or somethin :deadbanana2:

Nah, it "ended" because ratings dropped and were LOW. She still had another year or longer on her contract and they still ended it. :dies:

The ratings dropped once it was revealed she is a mean girl.

Chris Brown isn’t a good example. He has mentioned before his disdain for dark skinned black women but they are the main ones that are obsessed over this guy. Men do have it easier.

Chris is nowhere close to being as popular as he was in the late 00s. Chris had actual brand deals, mentioned countless times has as one of the biggest names in pop music. Yes he’s popular, but nowhere near the heights he once was or could have been. And every time he is mentioned the only thing to talk about is his scandals. Which will follow him forever.

This.

I don’t think people know or remember how massive he was before the Rihanna incident. Like he had the number one song in the world that was originally just a gum commercial jingle they had to rush to record a full song and release. He had crossed over to pop radio as a black artist on his first and second album.  He was on the verge to be bigger than Justin Bieber ever was during his peak and it basically vanished in one night. Sure he still has hit singles and has a decent career now but it nowhere near how big he was going to be.

honestly his career to me is an anomaly cause I was sure he was finished. As a black pop star who brutally beat be another female pop star. I’m surprised he still has a career at all

He was just on a sold out arena tour in Europe.

He still isn't anywhere "cancelled"

Lizzo is in big trouble. Ellen had a higher level 'kind white liberal image' which was and is still widely spread among Hollywood artists.

Lizzo's image is even more culminated because it was cultivated in body positivity which is an unpopular and unique theme that makes her audience even more attached to her in comparsion with that of Ellen.

As for male artists, a large proportion of male rap followers are sexist just as a large proportion of country fans are racist. The scandals will have a less profound effect in comparsion.
