CityPop Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Got my tickets for this November. I'm excited to see Tinashe! I'm not familiar with Shygirl's discography but I'm hoping to hear lots of Tinashe especially tracks from BB/ANG3L.

Theshigo Washidu Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 T should've waited to tour until next year. She just came off touring this summer without any new music. This tour will probably be a repeat of the 2022 tour with seven new tracks added to the set list and Shygirl's songs. She's not big enough to be going on tour without new music and so frequently. I guess that's how she makes her money as an indie artist but yeah.

JointNoSleep Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 they both released their worst musical projects in their discography - why did they think this was a good idea? 4
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Ddd maybe I will be able to get a closer seat and exchange for $10 closer to my date
Mellark Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Hmmmm, this tour should've waited till 2024. It's a cute idea but these ticket sales are concerning.

Nashe Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 I saw Shygirl opening for the Sugababes a week ago and it was certainly....something. Good luck to yall sitting through that. I hope the ticket sales pick up cuz the news of T having to cancel a tour would be a real bad blow right now...
perpetual novice Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 surprised this isn't selling, the venues are relatively small and i thought there would have been decent crossover between Shygirl and Tinashe. i think joint tours are difficult to market in general, i've never been to one but i'm not sure if i would want to spend money on it, i'd feel like i was getting less from each artist.

I don't think it's less. Rihanna and Eminem tour they performed separately around 18 tracks each and then around 7 together
kishi Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 (edited) What is being done to promote this tour aside from IG posts? I think if a third artist with a decent following was also on the tour, it would move faster. Tinashe can headline clubs and theaters, but Shygirl is relatively new and niche here. Tinashe should be able to fill those venues all on her own. The issue is the era is so low key and uneventful that a lot people are unaware or just uninterested with this co-headlined tour. Plus she has tour consistently for the past 3 years. This era is so underwhelming and boring, she release an ep with no hype. She going on tour with a girl most of her fans don’t know or care for. It is being promoted as a joined tour instead of album tour. I know it wasn’t possible to tour Victoria Monet ( that would sales out immediately). She should have tour with someone like flo milli or another female artist with a decent fanbase. If this era was handled properly she would sold out already. From two have sold show (almost immediately) at house of blues Chicago, to the point she added another 800/1k venue south of Chicago and now her not being able to sale even 1600 tickets with a co-headliners couple years later, it has all to do with everything about this era. Aside GMA and couple interviews, she hasn’t done anything, I know there is a writer strike and promo limited but she and her team needs to do something.

She can be very hit or miss. I’m not the biggest fan of her new album, I like her sluttier and harder hitting songs more and Nike is probably the most like her old music on the new album.

Cruel Practice it said, I skimmed through and it was giving me a LOT of pots and pans which is totally fine! but like if I’m going for T, idk how this can mesh with the vibe? maybe idk what I was expecting and this shocked me lol.
