Amsterdam Budget - 80mil / Box Office - 30mil

Babylon Budget - 110mil / Box Office - 60mil

What is that supposed to prove? Margot is not the reason those movies flopped :biblio:

And what makes you think Margot couldn't do it? :biblio:

Because her last five movies couldn't? Are we pretending like barbie as a brand isn't majorly carrying that movie?

I cant with gays. Just last year, yall were declaring Margot over cus of Amsterdam and Babylon, now you switch. If they’re just as valuable as their last project, then JLaw is just one franchise flick away from reclamation.

No. Margot has yet to even come close to how big JLaw was at her peak, and Jenny can still command an audience just by her name (No Hard Feelings).

Margot finally got a big win with Barbie after years of being in financial flops and has yet to win an Oscar. Not saying that to drag her, but it's the truth and is obviously a far cry to what Jennifer did at her peak. Hopefully she's able to take the huge momentum she's gotten with Barbie and further build her career. She could be a big A-list star if she plays her cards right.

ENDED HER.

No. Margot is arguably the better actress but she is not really a movie star like JLaw. I doubt a movie like NHF would perform as well if Margot was lead.

Jennifer lawrence has never been big. All weinstein Pr. Her only relevant movie is a young adult movie from a bestseller.

Also Hunger Games the most local saga ever.

Margot is incredibly talented but she’s not much of a celebrity. Not a strong personality. Very vanilla, no drama. Sometimes a little controlled controversy can ascend a career.

You must be living under a rock because she's the most beloved female celebrity right now :toofunny3:

They both came out around the same time but I think they are significant actresses for different generations :celestial5: I see Jlaw more as an actress of my brother's time, while Margot Robbie has enjoyed immense popularity with the youth of today, IMO.

First of all this is untrue because he only was involved in silver linings playbook which is one movie out of all the movies she did and if at all it is true that Harvey Weinstein was a major benefactor behind the scenes that could mean he was probably exploiting her and using that as a gotcha is very weird on your part

What's the point in having JLaw position when half of GP despise her :rip:

Don't get head over heels my love, Barbie movie was success because it... Barbie. It has nothing to do with Margot Robbie. She had like 5  flopped in a row. :skull:

Dumb take. No one (not even ATRL-ers) expected that kind of success from a Barbie movie :rip: It's all thanks to her non stop hustling for the last 6 months.

Imagine comparing Margot's organic success as an actress and producer to The Nepo Baby who had her daddy and Weinstein to spend payola everywhere. bSh1Oy5.thumb.gif.6b741c3cd7b018ef5471ce

Margot does not have the A-list adoration JLaw at peak had. She was the epitome of relatable Hollywood superstar.

"relatable" is saying *v*gina i'm hungry i'm ugly, i fall at red carpets, I'm goofy please. only white insecure girls care about that :bibliahh:

The moment Margot gets that Oscar is over for JLaw, an overpaid fad I fear

Baby you know you are reaching, Winter's Bone is a great movie and her performance was solid

 :giraffe:

JLaw was the IT girl for several years no flops or if there were they did not tarnish her name

. Margot is just starting again after a slow period of flops, let's hope she just slays from here for a couple of years at least

You all are doing entirely too much on Margot all because of one smash. :jonny:

Jlaw took a step back, did she not? Her doing so allowed Margot to take her spot.

I would say Margot's Harley is what makes her more "iconic" or memorable, but JLaw is an Oscar winner who no longer has to worry about making a name for herself and can just do whatever movie she wants.

Yeah, JLaw stepped back to focus on her private life, kid etc. The fact that she just did a random romcom that did good because of her name alone is a great example of her star power.

JLaw is the female actress of 2010s.

Margot is the female actress of 2020s.

Two queens and far more talented and successful than some fads this forum stans like forever B-listers and supporting actors like Scarlet Johansson.
