rac7d Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 I think grace is right if we don’t get a deal done by the end of the month then we’re going to January.
DAP Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Negotiations will continue this weekend, union prepared to strike into January if a deal cannot be reached 1

Gui Blackout Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 It's interesting how the studios folded to all the writers demands but are so resistant with the actors

D_Man3379 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Crazy they still don’t have a deal about AI. You’d think it be the easiest to come to terms on.
DAP Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 They still have until tomorrow for the formal announcement but I expect SAG to reject it. And I assumed the strike would continue as soon as AMPTP claimed that was their “final” offer. Good, blatant attempt at coercion and good on SAG-AFTRA for seeing through their bullsh*t. If it has to continue into January then so be it
X~MoviePoP Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) Keep the strike going! Make them BLEED!!!! The studios are fools and i hope sag keeps rejecting Edited November 7, 2023 by X~MoviePoP
okgo Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) "Hollywood’s major studios have agreed to adjust language on artificial intelligence as they move closer to a contract agreement to end the 117-day SAG-AFTRA strike. Union negotiators met Monday night with the leaders of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. In the meeting, the two sides appear to have resolved some of the pending issues on AI, which has become the central focus of the talks over the last 10 days. SAG-AFTRA leaders are set to meet this afternoon with the union’s negotiating committee. The hope is that the latest movement on AI will be enough to seal the deal. (...) It was not yet clear whether the changes agreed to on Monday would win the endorsement of the union’s negotiating committee. The union was said to have reached a common understanding on certain thorny AI issues, such as how to handle an AI consent in the event that an actor dies. But the union did not get every item on its list. The AMPTP has committed to continue meeting over the next two and half years until the next negotiation to discuss AI, as the technology advances."
