Did Taylor just redefine what "imperial phase" means?

I agree and I feel like that will happen after the re-recordings. She will take a deserved 3-year break, travel the world, take time off and then come back aiming for blood again. We're not ready for 2027.

I feel like she shouldn't really make a big deal out of Reputation (TV) and debut (TV) releases. Those are the least interesting Taylor's Versions if we're keeping it real. Hopefully 1989 TV comes out in October 2023, (if she continues the trend of two re-recordings per year), drop TS11 in late 2024 and in 2025 releasing debut and reputation TV. Maybe even wait until 2026 to release debut TV on it's 20 year anniversary or something.

Things will probably not slow down for Tay anytime soon at this point since she will only be 36 or 37 by that time. The age where most pop girls could very comfortably still be dominant forces.

I agree. Calm before the storm TS13.

agree honey, TS12 will be the "Yellow Submarine" to TS13s "Abbey Road" :bird:

After TS13 she will probably stop making music lol. I don't see Taylor releasing more after that. She will likely have a family and be in her early 40s by that time.

Still a long way to go. Folklore did magic for her career and the magic isn’t stopping soon.

Self-Titled is one of the most exciting re-recordings. Many recent fans haven't been exposed to it much, and it's an opportunity to release new country songs.

Thee Bieber

Where is he? I want to hear his new bops. It feels like I haven’t heard or read anything about him for a long time.

Taylor has basically said that she will never making music. She clearing loves making music and a family won't stop that. Tons of pop girls have kept on making music after having kids.

She might reduce the amount and length of tours if she has a family (there is no guarantee of that either). Promotion is minimal nowadays anyway.

Swifties should never assume that Taylor will go on a long break. She clearly is addicted to making music. I think the longest break out she had from promoting and releasing music was less than a year.

He's recording music but staying out of the spotlight until the era starts I guess. Hailey is the influencer/celebrity Bieber these days.

Mariah, Madonna and Eminem didn't have the same consistency in terms of success especially in the US. Taylor will outsell Mariah too despite the disadvantage of not having released during the peak of album sales.

The same Eminem who after being the top selling artist in the 00's, during the next decade was the 2nd artist by digital sales and 3rd by pure sales and streams in the US after being inactive for half of the decade :dies:

Thanks. Can’t wait for new JB music. He makes some serious catchy bops, such a nice voice too.

Taylor is already above Eminem (#3 vs #9) in the Billboard 200 all time artist list despite debuting later.

Please don’t drag Eminem into this. He is just legendary, incredible longevity, king of rap.

Honestly it makes Britney’s and Gaga’s peak look like child’s play.

Taylor is bigger than MJ, I fear.

Thanks for reminding us that you either don't know how Billboard works or you are trying to brag about an accomplishment that is worthless.
By the way, if that's important to you just remind you that Drake has spent more weeks on Billboard 200 than taylor, which according to you makes him a more successful artist than Taylor

I know how BB200 all time charts work, it's only based on chart positions with specific weights to adjust for the year.

Taylor is also above Drake even if he spent more weeks. There's actually no way Eminem sold more albums this century in the US compared to Taylor.

Eminem longevity is incredible. He would be smashing even more if he wasn't a bit of a recluse but good for him for prioritizing himself.  It would have been amazing if he toured more.

I repeat, thanks for showing us your ignorance of how Billboard 200 worked before MJ's death, digital sales and streaming, you're comparing apples and oranges and you don't even know it.

"no way Eminem sold more albums this century in the US compared to Taylor." Are you joking right?

- More units in a single year than any other artist in history

- Possibly biggest tour in history

- smashing more than anyone else in all 3 formats: pure sales, streams and radio.
- Hit after hit

- Entire catalog smashing at once, on all 6 continents

- Insane interest in personal life

And it’s all happening 17 years into her career, after a long and already succesful career. That has never happened before.

I don't even know what you're talking about. Streaming wasn't even a thing back when Eminem first albums were released, it was irrelevant to chart runs which is what the BB200 all time chart is based on.

Taylor is definitely the biggest artist since Michael Jackson tho. That is not even a debate at this point of her career. The stats are too overwhelming.

Omg you must be a troll

:bibliahh:

they all moved infinitely more pure units without the aid of streaming, embarrassing tactics and with one album at a time and not a dozen like her.

The last huge phenomenon was adele, point blank period.

not to mention none of the artists they mentioned went through a pandemic. If they did, and did re-recordings, their numbers would’ve surpassed the Beatles. Again, without the aid of streaming, digital, scandal, a million albums

she’s literally Ed Sheeran with touring and Harry styles type of intense fan base + the re-recordings and multiple albums in a row

literally name one artist that debuted after Michael Jackson's reign ended that is bigger than Taylor Swift. The only argument one can make is Eminem. Adele had the biggest album. Shes not a bigger artist than Taylor Swift.

Billboard didn’t allow catalog albums to chart before 2009, that user was talking about this.

You just did. Eminem, Adele, add Ed Sheeran with the massive tour. Britney, nsync, bsb, Mariah, Celine, janet, all moved an insane amount of albums post MJ without the calculated tactics. She’s the it thing right now but she’ll never be bigger than beyonce who hasn’t moved as many units.
