Don't take testosterone if you haven't been tested and your levels aren't low, why would you ruin your body like that? :rip:

Testosterone can also trigger/accelerate hair fall cause more T > more DHT

This. You should never take testosterone unless a doctor is watching over the process.

lol u saying with pride that u turned down events with friends and family to meet up for casual sex .... major yikes

testosterone seems like the very last thing u need in ur life....

Where was the pride? lol I literally stopped because it was becoming a problem

Don't. It might deepen your voice and make you more hairy but I doubt your personality and mannerism will change much.

Also don't get me started on the side effects and hair loss.

Idk I found it hard getting an erection on Fin :swan:

It get easier after a month but still not as hard as it was before. So I stopped and got back to normal :bam:

Damn and I already had issues with erectile dysfunction before, the testosterone helped a lot so I was performing better in bed (but unfortunately it also gave me sex addiction)

So now I'm conflicted about the finasteride because going back to erectile dysfunction would be embarrassing:rip:

It's not the same side effects for everyone. I've never tried it so I can't give you any advice but I've seen plenty of fantastic results. You can always stop it anyways.

Minoxidil is also an option btw.

Do some research on both of them

Testosterone supplement has so many side effects nobody ahould be taking it unless there’s actual medical need and under a doctor’s supervision :deadbanana2: Losing hair is one thing, but it also changes your personality, affects your mental health or even shrink your testicles size :deadbanana2:

hey babe

i have very naturally high testosterone (i think it’s some jewish thing because all the males on my mom’s side have high t) and i was very blessed with thick dark curly hair (mediterranean jewish vibes?) and still i’m doing a LOT to make sure that i won’t start balding or thinning young. i whack it a lot and do enjoy having a good amount of sex, but after a lot of drama (you’ve been there) i’ve figured out how to pace myself and be a super sex positive person. if i were you babe I’d talk this out with a therapist and/or general practitioner first. going right into taking t supplements without must prior knowledge can be … risky business for sure. it’s not too late to make a change though. make sure to drink lots of water and exercise reasonably regardless of your next move. for some hair regrowth tips from someone with relatively high testosterone:

- scalp massages

- “inversion method” (hang your head over the edge of your bed, listen to a 5 or so minute song in your headphones, massage your scalp with 1 part coconut oil and 1 part peppermint or tea tree oil while you’re upside down)

- DO NOT wash your hair super often!

when it comes to societal pressure, screw your ex. he sounds rather shallow but at the end of the day just not the man for you. don’t take it too hard. I may have high t but i’m still pretty effeminate. idk i guess i’m a good mix? anyway. be your authentic self and try not to let assh*les get to you. there are plenty of ppl who i’m sure would be into you!

anyway. i’m here if you wanna talk more legend. sorry this is my insane Joe early morning post of the day but my sleep schedule’s totally F*CKED up so i’m just ranting a bit. it’s all about growth though and i believe in u

Man I appreciate you sharing this with me , and a lot of people here too thank you, you've made me aware how damaging TST could be in the long run so yeah I think it's best I explore more natural methods, I have coconut oil somewhere in the kitchen:gaycat3:. And if I decide to get back on testosterone I'll have to ask my doctor for advice on how to navigate it, cuz I'm reading too many horror stories here about hair receding and scrotum atrophy :mazen: I  need to book an appointment anyway to check I haven't damaged my libido

And my ex was far from the only reason, but I was too embarrassed to mention the other reasons :toofunny3: Either way I need to get it together, I'm seeing a therapist already but we haven't discussed this subject yet. And it's good to know I can DM you too for advice

I mean…. did you consult with a professional before taking testosterone? This is not a supplement you just take without professional recommendation. The long term effects this may have on someone whose levels aren’t significantly low can be somewhat detrimental. And when you say “more masc”, do you mean in terms of appearance or mannerisms? Because realistically, testosterone supplementation isn’t going to change the way you naturally behave and present yourself- that’s most nurture over nature. Most of the changes you’ll experience, as you’re noting here, will be internal and not observable to those outside of you.

Don't let other people’s opinions of you lead you astray. It sounds like you might be intermingling with people who just aren’t very great people and who make you feel insecure. Basing big life decisions around sex and appearance and external validation is going to do nothing good for you. I definitely suggest you take no more and maybe talk to a doctor.

also note: testosterone and whether a person is effeminate are not closely linked. There are many feminine gay men who have very high testosterone levels. That sort of thing is conditioning and socially-influenced more than it is biologically determined. Please talk to your doctor.

Aside from the hair loss others have mentioned you'll also likely get acne and breast enlargement. Stop it at once sis

You should stop taking those TODAY.

Do you really enjoy being around other people so much? Try introspection.

Also like what do you mean by "more masc"? My first advice would be **** that because you're fine the way you are, but if it's your voice or something you can go to a speech therapist to train your voice to be deeper/more masculine if you really want.

So many things to say right now... but I won't. Good... hmm.. luck!

You should not consider the advice of a gym rat that does not pertain to exercising. You’ll encounter some of the most nefarious scammers that’ll exploit your alienation for their untested bullshit products/solutions, and too many of these men and women are susceptible to their quackery. :cm:

Girl go on Finasteride or whatever. There will be slight side effects though but it's worth it

The side effects can be huge and not worth it

I tried Finasteride and couldn’t get hard for weeks, my dick was literally dead :biblio:

Luckily it started working again normally but there are some horror stories of people who still haven’t gone back to normal after months/years.

You shouldn’t be taking testosterone for the sake of it and without getting approval from a specialist

Finasteride is just not worth it for the risk of ED as I and @Miss Fortune both had

I would say try Minoxidil as many people have good results with it, but you have to have the confidence and patience to deal with the massive shed that occurs at first

Oop well @Bacardo Royaleyou've heard them! The public has spoken. Finasteride's side effects are quite potent it seems! But yea do research, it's really really important.

Read people's reviews on Reddit etc. and go on medical sites. You can even ask people on Reddit for anonymous advice

the amount of judgement and ridicule in the answers is honestly kinda hypocritical.. as if this pressure to be masculine weren't super prevalent in the gay community .. like there are millions of healthy gay men who endanger their health by taking testosterone, like lets not pretend that OP is this crazy freak.. ya'll telling him to "tRy tHeraPy" or "wOrK oN yoUr seLf estEeM" but then in the next thread we collectively shame normal looking young men "omg he looks like 15", "not with that twink body" etc. .. I don't know a single gay man in his 20s who doesn't have low self-esteem, like this is really a problem we have in the gay community, lets not act like this is purely a personal issue of OP

You don’t need testo, you need therapy. It‘s such a win for me. I go for different reasons but can honestly only encourage everyone.  :heart2:
