I'll NEVER swim in the ocean. I didn't watch the video but I think you should post a sensitive content warning considering the comments.

Extremely.  You are probably at greater risk driving to the beach.

But isn't this inaccurate considering there are more people who drive than swim in the ocean?

Oh my god his girlfriend had to see it :chick3:

A tragedy and one of my biggest fears when swimming! But let's not forget animals in the wild are just living and surviving...

It's important to mention that we, as a society, kill approximately 100 million sharks per year. We are terrified of sharks but there are less than 10 fatal cases annually. Perhaps it's time we start reconsidering who the real villain of the story is considering we kill 200 million animals per day and don't even think about this.

I know this might bother or sting most of you. Perhaps you might even consider it's not appropriate or it's too soon... But I think we need to reflect on/meditate/go deeper when tragic events happen, to have a deeper understanding of our world and its balance.

What is your point? Did that man kill sharks? Who’s the “real villain” here? :psyduck:

It’s scary how vulnerable we are floating in the ocean. We don’t belong there

They hunted down and killed the shark after that.

Who's the real villain... 100 million vs 10. You tell me...

Oh wow they truly killed an animal for following its instinct. Humans are truly garbage. Compare this video to all those videos of cartels, then you'll see who the true evil is

They killed the shark because it now knows humans are food and will follow that same behavior if the opportunity arises

There is exactly 0 evidence to support this long-held myth of man-eating sharks becoming obsessed with human flesh after an attack.

It it did it once it can certainly do it again, why risk it are you serious :skull:

Y’all are quick to yell “animal rights!1!1!” from your keyboard as if you wouldn’t do the exact same if it happened to you.
Think of the father watching this happen/his family, the corpse is very much likely still in the body and it deserved to be retrieved for a proper (closet casket) burial.

Yeah if one of your family members were in his position I’m sure you’d say the same, username GentleEarthquake ☠️

It’s also pretty instinctual to want to kill/punish whatever kills your baby. Elephants and dolphins for example often avenge the death of their young, and they’re highly intelligent creatures much like us. That shark just picked the wrong species to eat.
