Fearless remains the best TV (until SNTV) . Half of Red TV is good. Which is still like 15 songs so

This Love TV is better than the OG to me though, and WDTV was really great and barely different, so maybe there's hope that she won't butcher them all.

A quick digression: She already brought Shellback back for Red TV and many fans were still underwhelmed by the result. I get the concern and would even share it but Wildest Dreams (TV) sounds amazing so she’s already proved she can surpass an original Max track without him. Same  goes for This Love (which I know wasn’t produced by Max anyway but still that’s two perfect songs already which bodes well for the project as a whole.) 1989 stans are gonna be just fine. My fellow Reputation babes, well… We’ll be in for a ride. Thank goodness I love all her albums bar mixtape cause I’m waiting for the TV

 

OT: Speak Now (TV) is going to be amazing, I just know it. The Mine snippet alone sounds amazing. This bish really threw Fearless and Red out as trial runs before perfecting the re-recording process for Preach Now

WD and TL are 2 ballads, so hardly the best representation of 1989.

Wildest Dreams is a mid tempo (like most of the album) with arguably a lot more instrumentation and layers than a song like Blank Space though. It's literally an anthemic synth pop track which is the epitome of 1989. The only one to really cause concern for is Shake It Off and even that doesn't have as much going on as say some tracks from reputation from a production standpoint (the verses are mostly horns and percussion for example.) I think part of what makes 1989 so accessible and timeless is its simplicity (and I mean that as a compliment.) Aside from poor vocal takes I really fail to see any way she could drastically mess the Taylor's Version up.

 

OT: Are we even mentally prepared to relive Back to December, Dear John, Enchanted, Last Kiss, Better Than Revenge and Long Live? I might spontaneously combust come release day
