castles crumbling has been leaving me in a depression spiral all day :jonny5:

people look at me like i'm a monster

now they're screaming at the palace front gates

used to chant my name

now they're screaming that they hate me

never wanted you to hate me

:cries: :cries: :cries: :cries: :cries:

the way her voice goes out on the last "hate me" - ugh taybarbra the vocal interpreter strikes again :jonny5:

I'm actually kind of confused about how she wrote Castles Crumbling in the SN era. The lyrics perfectly describe the 1989/Rep backlash era and don't really fit her life during the Fearless/SN era at all. Another retcon, I fear.

The Foolish One stanning. The only song that she actually wrote at the time kinda did that :clap3:

How is castles crumbling not from the time when shes always had that weird fear of being erased and flopping :rip: just because she may change some stuff on them doesn't mean she didn't write them during the time I never got that weird accusation

Castles Crumbling is so underrated here :biblio:

Seems only people who hold grudges till they tore them apart can relate :monkey:

I Can See You is such an earworm… she has yet another smash on her hands. But with Karma and Cruel Summer I’m not sure they can push it much? If it keeps showing longevity I fear they’ll be forced to :WAP:

Yeah, she was so humble during Fearless pre-Speak Now. But I guess it’s her anxiety speaking after the GRAMMYs with Stevie Nicks, and then shady women in her circle, Camilla called her a has-been and psycho, and then there’s her “peers” Demi & Miley being shady.

Honestly I kind of felt the same way as @hungrymuffin weirdly? Like now that I've had a few days to listen to them, I think the only ones I'm going to use long term are I Can See You & Foolish One (which is so not my type of song but I love it for some reason ddd). The other 4 are good & I can still appreciate them, just not my favs

Plus we've known about Castles Crumbling for years. It was like one of the most wanted demos of hers. Which still hasn't leaked. :rip:

since she's clearly recreating the hairstyles in the TV covers... is she gonna serve bob again for 1989 tv?

So there's no Enchanted MV, is there? :chick3:
