Getting this version of Last Kiss and Castles Crumbling will never be classified as pointless. :beach:

I wanted to wait and take it all in before posting, but yeah I spent the entire day with the album and I am completely destroyed. it's amazing and the best TV improvement so far.

Speak Now always makes me emotional because it's the first era of hers I experienced as a stan and the first time I saw her live during the tour. Also I don't know what it is, but 10+ years later I feel like the album has this nostalgia factor that her older albums simply don't have. suffice it to say it's my favourite album of hers and the rerecording I was looking forward to the most.

the songs sound incredible with her mature voice and there are sooo many improvements overall, it's insane. but still, I feel like Sparks Fly and Enchanted lack a certain punch the OG versions had, though Enchanted builds up nicely towards the end.

HOWEVER I will say (and this is to everyone complaining) that there was always going to be an uncanny feeling at first when listening to a rerecording of a song we have all been listening for 13 years, this is normal sisters! if we were all listening to these songs for the first time today we wouldn't have anything to say.

the vault tracks are also great, but I still haven't processed them enough.

anyways, thank you for listening to my TED talk and steam her best album

Exactly, had we heard Better Than Revenge ( in this “edited” version ) for the first time today, I wonder what would be the negative talking point here.

Also, had we heard Dear John or The Story of Us today for the first time, we would be still be celebrating how true to herself she is, so yeah, she did pretty solid.

Her sounding less into the songs and losing the emotion of the original isn't an invalid criticism.

That's clearly not what the review was saying but ok, whatever makes you happy :toofunny3:

Currently getting emotionally destroyed by Never Grow Up :chick3:. The lyrics sound so much more poignant coming from a 30-something woman with a mature voice :chick3:. No wonder she doesn't sing it on tour often :chick3:

But don't make her drop you off around the block
Remember that she's gettin' older too
And don't lose the way that you dance
Around in your PJs getting ready for school

:chick3:

And no one's ever burned you
Nothing's ever left you scarred
And even though you want to
Just try to never grow up

:chick3:

It's my second favorite vault tracks. It SLAPS. :jonny5:

It would be my favourite but the collaboration seems so unnecessary. I would prefer solo version

What time roughly will the show start tonight?

This TV gets better and better and better. It has insanely good replay value. Sparks Fly has grown A LOT on me. I think it’s so cool her old agency band reunited to help make the new versions. That makes it extra special

Not the swiffers already stalking all the past of a journalists who gave great reviews to everything lately, maybe even 5 stars TL Midnight or at least 4.

an album highlight MOMENT.

I've decided Electric Touch ️ & Foolish One 🥇 are the 2 best Vault tracks :falcon: Aaron keeps winning :falcon:

I love the new BTR, so much punkier

Anti-Hero’s mother aka Castles Crumbling deserves everything just taking into account those harmonies and echoes. :loki:

I saw a comment that said it’s funny how Taylor sl*t shamed someone in the OG BTR all the while having a song about wanting to be up against a wall with someone locked up somewhere and that’s so true. :dies:

Baby Taylor (Debut-SN) had lots! of! feelings!

Out of all the vault tracks, When Emma Falls in Love is, however, my favourite. I guess I’m quite on my own here. I like the minimal production with some country influence that Aaron gives to the song.

Fingers crossed she's got the MV saved for July 9th.

Now that I've had some more time... Evermore, Red, and Speak Now kind of sounds like a very cute top three, hmm :siptea:

Add in Midnights and you have the complete package :giraffe:
