I pressed play and life came into me

Mine deserves the number one spot

All my ancestors agree and Mr Wallen is going down

I'm largely fine with most of it. That being said, my larger takeaway (I've noticed this now with all three re-recordings) is just that I miss the urgency in her vocals. I especially notice this on songs like The Story of Us, Better Than Revenge and Haunted. I just don't hear the same passion. She could have gone harder. More emotional songs like Never Grow Up, Dear John and Last Kiss are better replications, but I find myself missing the old production.

Vaults are again fine but inessential.

Not a popular opinion in the Swiftie universe but I really don't want her to re-record 1989 and Reputation. I fully support her masters endeavor, but as actual albums to listen to I just don't think they need to exist when the albums are as close to perfect as they'll ever be.

"It's 8:05 and I see two headlights"

Is such a great visual in Electric :weeps:

Always Throw Up is still a skip

But she def kept very close to the OG production this time. I actually like the BTR lyric change :fan:

I need TS11 to sound like the first 42 seconds of Electric Love, State of Grace, Don’t You, Forever Winter, and I Can See You. Please. Give us an 80s rock and groovy hybrid album.

She put her whole entire being into Haunted TV. Out of all the tracks, she lit that one up. If she went any harder she’d have no pulse and be dead girl.

but you need to hype it with at least an announcement.

The Eras Tour promotion is the best promotion she can get. Everyone will be perched for the show tonight.

I'm listening to the whole thing over again. I have to confess, I always felt like a bit of a heathen for not caring about Dear John much, but with this version I've seen the light. Queen of country music :jonny2:

That picture is used on one of the vinyls. I think it's a Target exclusive one. Not sure. There are pics of it. But I also do not understand why her posting a message or not impacts your experience. 🤔

this isn’t a huge upgrade like fearless but it is definitely an improvement all around. vocally it’s vastly superior and i do like the majority of the new production choices.

timeless, castles crumbling, and i can see you are all incredible vault tracks and are so excellent to the extent that the other three being mediocre at best doesn’t really matter. overall i’m so happy with this and can’t wait to see what else she has in store! the orchid vinyl is so stunning btw - would recommend!!

Timeless is just such a classic Taylor song, it feels like it's been out for years :skull:

So shook how even with the awful line change Better than Revenge was actually really good, she showed the most personality there :celestial:

Oh fun fact for anyone who doesn't know - I've seen some posts about the producer, Christopher Rowe, doing backing vocals. He's actually only on Enchanted, Emma, and Timeless. A lot of the male backing vocals throughout the album are Mike Meadows, who's been working with her in various capacities since the Fearless tour and who does acoustic guitar on all the non-vault tracks :bird:

with this release i understood that i cant listen to the recreations on release moment. i'm too euphoric and invested. for 1989 and rep i'll only listen the vaults and then in the morning i'll go with the recreations. specially 1989 with style, how you get the girl, blank space, etc...
