You guys are the luckiest fanbase on any popstar. The way she keeps you guys constantly fed while fans of other popstars are left scrambling for the crumbs our faves gives us every now and then when they come outside every couple of months.

We are so blessed :WAP:

I Can See You hitting just as hard as last night, could literally be a smash after Cruel Summer if she wanted to push it

Several vault tracks should've been on the OG album over Mean & Superman

Some of these Vault Songs are poorly written.

I’m not one of the nitpickers but this will be missed ngl :chick3: It’s still solid all around so it’s not a downgrade at all but that was a very subtle yet powerful moment in her early discography and it’s always stood out to me.

Mean's "and pathetic" delivery is honestly my only complain for the re-record. Like where did all that anger and pettiness go mother?

I will say you can tell she was actively learning how to write on her own *in a more mature way than she had on Debut & Fearless* but also learning how to edit DOWN cause Electric Touch and Emma sometimes feel like word vomit in the writing department  :dies:  she just said whatever she wanted cause she had no co-writers to make her second guess anything

I LOVE the cover, but The absolute serve this would have been as the album cover

Actually in retrospect it’s almost shocking that Big Machine really let an 18 & 19 year old girl release a self written album. You know how many male executives would have wanted to pitch someone else’s input on her artistic vision at the time? Crazy

The new Last Kiss is such a big improvement. Her songs were really hindered by her limited vocal range back then, like how her voice became nasally on enchanted when she held the notes and how thin her voice sounded on the bridge of last kiss, but now her voice carries so much weight and is well developed all around so every lyric packs a greater emotional punch. She was always good at conveying emotions but she's even better now :loki:.

Not with that guy’s awful vocal

If they were set on sending a song to country, they should have sent Timeless instead of Emma.

I'm sure she had to kind of take a stand about it, dig in her heels a bit. Big Machine is the likely reason she didn't release songs with certain subject matter like Forever Winter, after all, but maybe coming directly off the Fearless era helped to convince them.

the song would’ve obviously been solo had it been released back in 2010

I Can See You has no business being this sexy :WAP: it's the soft rock serve we thought Midnights would be

This is why I think it's truly deranged when people who hate her complain about her vocals. Like okay, sure, she's not Mariah (who I love!), she's not Whitney, but her voice is perfect for the most important part of communicating her personal style of confessional song - conveying emotions!

Yes we have to admitt Borchetta did a good thing when he let her make a self written album but don't forget he forced songwriters on her for first 2 albums..Liz rose always has said they called her to be next to her and she said to them "what i have to do here, the songs are already done".

So if you think about it it's not that strange, don't forget the WW smash Love story was self written, so she proved her value before.

And the fact is, a Mariah kind of vocal would not fit her music. Her voice is perfect for the music she writes.

I'm down with that! Karma had her moment, as soon as it locks the pop radio #1 on Billboard let it die. :celestial:

Liz was always so supportive of Taylor from the start :jonny:
