And I'll look back and regret

How I ignored when they said

"Run as fast... as... you caaaan"

Midnights at the same time

Mine debuting at #10 is a higher debut than Lavender Haze had when it first popped up on the chart. Lavender Haze first appeared somewhere in the top 20. I wonder if the update was delayed this time or if the chart just updated quicker the day Midnights was released.

I'm such a Taylor fan, but I just can't get into her music pre-RED.

All the songs on Debut to Sleep Now sound the same to me. 😴 I guess I'm too European for that.

I hope she cuts down on the country stuff for the EU leg of the tour because we don't use these tracks.

only country songs in the tour are fearless, love story and you belong with me. Everyone knows who Taylor is knows these songs, please

My initial reaction::

Red (TV) > Speak Now (TV) >>> Fearless (TV)

SN could have been number 1 if the vault tracks weren’t a little.. snoozy. But they are nowhere near as bad as the ones on Fearless.

Listening to the album now. Haven’t gotten to the vault tracks yet but I am disgusted at how BOTCHED BTR is, and I’m not even talking about the lyric change. The whole last section lost all the energy of the original :biblionny:

The update with Lavender Haze at #4 came at the same time as the Speak Now TV update (after around 7 hours).

Overall:

Speak Now > Red > Fearless

Strictly Vault tracks:

Red > Speak Now > Fearless

And this will be reflected in the numbers I'm fearing.

Now this is correct :foxaylove2:

Enchanted is such a mf good song omfg she deserves to be No.1

First she wouldn't be able to sell out in Europe and now the stadiums will be crickets. Some really love being wrong everytime.

Girl I love Taylor and I am getting the tickets for two shows.

I just said she needs to focus on RED and after on the EU leg because she was a nobody in Europe during her country era. Don't take it personally, it's just facts.

why they butchered most of the songs? what is happening? Last kiss and Long Live was not so good. Vault tracks are better

And artists play album tracks that nobody in the GP knows in concerts all the time, that doesn't stop the concerts from being good. :michael:

Love Story & You Belong With Me might not have been massive at the time but they are 100% perfectly known by any pop listener (which is her main audience in Europe). Enchanted is also widely known.

EDIT: she's doing a total of 4 songs from pre-Red on a 40+ song setlist.

They didn’t though.

She must’ve given Christopher Rowe time and a half to produce BTR bc that is his best recreation thus far. She knew she had to conflict us

That user is not wrong about Speak Now being her most local album excluding Debut. It was SacRed that kickstarted her global domination I fear.

100%, but since then people have discovered LS, YBWM and Enchanted.

Castles Crumbling left no crumbs. It is so good. She sounds so good with Hayley. It feels like it could be a Midnights track.

The setlist is 90% post-country era songs though :deadbanana2: How much more could She focus it...?

It's also delusional to think that international fans won't have gone back and learned some of Her classic songs even if they didn't know them already :rip:

Love Story performed moderately well here. I think it would be recognised by most people as one of her signature hits.

Mine could've also been bigger had she not fumbled the bag by releasing it 2 weeks early.

Correct but Mine did not appear anywhere on the chart till 7 hours after at #10. LH appeared earlier than 7 hours at #20 originally, but your right it def was higher at the 7 hour mark. I just wonder why the chart updated earlier on the release day of Midnights, and with Speak Now it took 7 hours to update finally.

I was just calling out that Mine is her highest AM debut, which is pretty insane!

yes but she didn't make any track from it expect for Enchanted is a huge viral hit.

and love story and you belong with me are know by every pop listener knows who taylor is. So she doesn't need to cut country music from the tour

agree mine, back to december or mean are less know by pop listeners or a new generation of listeners, but even in america (there is a reason she basically skipped the album in the show :eli:).

Enchanted is about Adam Young from Owl City.
