I purchased this movie weeks ago but forgot until now.  

 

I enjoyed, its classic rom-com troupes from start to finish.  But I completely agree about the chemistry between Sydney & Glen just not being there, unfortunately.  Powell does a good job in his role -- we see a lot of him, thankfully -- but Sweeney looks like she just woke up in every scene.  She is gorgeous but with very limited acting range.

Um, huh? It's pretty universally agreed that their chemistry in this is arguably the best part of the film.  So much so people thought they were having an affair and they're already being pitched more projects for them to work on together. What are you talking about?

Them playing up to those rumors doesn't mean anything.   There are other similar comments about their lack of chemistry in this thread and some reviews pointing this out as well
 

I was not convinced  — period.  But the movie was cute and Powell is featured in various states of undress.  I'm good so my $10 wasn't a total waste.

I'm glad this movie turned Glen into star because I liked him in Scream Queens and Everybody Wants Some!!! and I was aware of his comedic talent, but this move was not it. It was very bland so I'm kinda shocked people are falling for it.

I hate that I liked this more than I should.  It was funny, tbh, it's an instant classic rom-com movie.

I still don't understand the purpose of Sydney's ex in the movie. Looks like producers just wanted to have that specific actor to do absolutely nothing.
