Taylor was already eons more famous than Harry when they started dating, and if anything it was Taylor who made Harry a relevant celebrity figure.

Yes, overhyped. The fact that a woman who can't sing, can't write her own songs, lip-sync all the time... is described as being such a legend and one of the best pop stars ever IS the definition of overhype :deadbanana4:

so then you knew what you were doing when you made this thread? You were setting up Britney.

There are many places outside of ATRL that acknowledge her as such (literally any person that calls Britney a legend here, has to argue with 5 Swifties, 10 monsters, and 3 fighters but ok, wtv ig). You can totally believe that if you want, no objection :rip:

Yea. It's clear that he wanted to gather the Swifties up and make them do their usual thing :priceless: We can see you as clear as pristine glass, OP.

HIAM was definitely NOT a success. The song sold 1,6M digital downloads in the United States, which is tragic for a 2011 song.

Let's not even talk about the streams of this song. :rip:

TTWE & 3 just did decently... They're 3x-4x platinum ELIGIBLE (not even certified) after 12 years of units accumulation. Nothing to glorify.

TTWE also had a remix with Kesha, who was coming off of Tik Tok and had so much digital power she sent Blow to the top 10 of the Hot 100 off her name alone, and Nicki Minaj who was riding on a Super Bass high. This is worth noting because Britney stans love to note/shame other popstars for their collabs.

Swifties and Army normally get along until a thread like this is made

Besides Xtina, I really don't know what other MPG has been called out by the Britney stans for their collabs?

All I can say is pick on someone your own size.

Madonna, Beyonce, P!nk, Lady Gaga, Shakira.

As a musician and artist, Taylor.

As a tabloid fodder, Britney.

I mean considering Taylor Swift has slept with and got dumped by half of Hollywood and even 1 Kennedy family member I think she is very much a tabloid fodder.

Also, let's not forget that Rihanna gave her her last #1 on Billboard Hot 100, a FLOPPED one whose Britney stan DARE to brag about

Spotify:

S&M (original) - 734,179,125

S&M (remix ft. Britney Spears) - 41,354,344

The irrelevancy, even worse than HIAM.

#1 touring act with 100 millions? Groundbreaking!

Ow …and i love your 2013/2016 releases statistics effort but you forgot to mention that Artpop was Gaga’s third and Britney Jean was Britney’s 8th studio album. It would have been nicer if you could compare Artpop sales to Britney the album. What about also comparing ITZ to Joanne? wouldn’t that been funnier and more exciting? But i guess , it doesn’t go with your narrative.

These liddos trying their hardest to make Gaga’s musical career sound more impressive but the math is not mathing. BOMT alone sold more than Gaga’s entire catalogue in pure sales.

Chromatica grossed 112M from only 20 dates. Has Brit Spears ever done it? Her last proper tour grossed 68M from 79 dates after partnering with Groupon

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/britney-spears-groupon-perfect-together-204995/

In fact Brit Spears doesn't even have a single tour over 150M :lmao: Gaga only did a handful of dates with Chom because she had to go shot Joker 2. Brit Spears wanted to be an actress and auditioned for movies like The Notebook but couldn't cut it.

In terms of how many TMZ articles they have written about them: Britney Spears

I wouldn’t be so sure about that

The way you and that Ramires guy knows details of 2011 releases from an artist you dislike/hate is pretty embarassing lol.

Britney was at her creative peak by the time she got placed into the conservatorship. She was heavily involved in the process of making 'Britney', 'In The Zone', and 'Blackout'. Moreover, the period between 2003-2007 was when she exercised her creative expression most liberally and we literally got her best efforts at this time alongside the mysterious project, Original Doll. Unfortunately, she really took a stepback with her succeeding records (as much as I adore 'Circus' and 'Femme Fatale') but bounced back with Glory. If anything, Glory gives at least a glimpse into what Britney's artistry would've been like had it not been for the guardianship.

All these fanfictions...

Britney stans really live in the delulu-land with their fave lmao...

So why is the apparently eons more famous Taylor getting lost in the back and practically ignored by the rabid stans trying to climb into the car with Harry? He was the reason they were desperate to get close and that’s the kind of celebrity infatuation she just did not generate in nearly the same way — and he did not need her help getting anymore of that. It’s literally the case of the opposite is true, as that PR‘d “date” in Central Park proved :rip:

It wasn't until her break up with Harry is when people started paying attention to her musically
