You can make an argument for either song being the most popular song of the week. Princess Diana doesn't have any business being anywhere near #1. Without mass buying, PD is like the 15th-20th most popular song of the week. See this seems like logical thinking and thankyou for saying this. Honestly I love PD but it's not a #1 single. And who gives a rats ass about #1 it means nothing. Levitating was huge and never got to #1 because of Billboard closed doors actions. They need to stop all these weekly charts and just make it a monthly chart. And delete website sales. Sorry for going off. But seriously things are currupt now. You can't even compare history to the present. The current billboard is a disaster. Edited April 22, 2023 by Shaner69

Sscorpionn Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 I can’t at the KKKATRLers coming out their dusty hole to complain about how kill bill going #1 is unfair (to a racist man at that ). I didn’t see any of you complaining about Miley collecting several extra weeks at #1 despite being out consumed by 3-4 songs.

If they all go away, it will harm the acts whose fanbases were doing this... because predictions allow big fanbases to strategize and figure out how much they need of X to get X goal (ie how many sales for #1 etc). Like, congrats, you played yourselves Hopefully Chart Essentials stays, they are just as accurate. Well maybe that's a good thing after all. Those #1's with a chart run of 1 - 33 need to stop.
pride4jc1222 Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 (edited) No full final predictions yet, but here is where Cupid and Like Crazy are predicted (the predictor correctly predicted that People Part 2 would debut at #5 on BU last week): Cupid could really do some damage here in the US if it gets a push on radio. Those HDD streaming numbers are wrong So predictors are gonna have a hard time doing predictions this week And you are right, Kill Bill did 14 million on spotify alone. With Apple Music and Amazon it should be easily around 24-25 million (and that's without youtube and pandora included)

Princess Diana is good but it's getting fueled by fans. I want Morgan #1 just for the meltdowns. It's sad billboard is not a popularity chart anymore. It's a one week trying to get to #1 flop chart. #1 doesn't mean anything anymore. Part of that is because radio is so extremely fraudulent. How many people actively listen to radio in 2023? Should just switch to being based on pure consumption via streaming and reintroduce UGC content, streams from Tiktok as that’s an income resource for labels now. Even streaming has its issue with playlisting not being representative and auto-streams feature. Edited April 22, 2023 by Tinashebanks
