I think they're more concerned with TERF-y suburban white women. Polling indicates that African Americans are also skeptical of trans people (perhaps due to discomfort over comparisons to the Civil Rights movement over what they perceive to be a choice), but they aren't swing voters. Rural voters are considered a lost cause at this point. They were lost after years of neoliberalism under Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and the latter being black has given Democrats the excuse to blame that on racism instead of their horrendous policies.

I still plan to vote for Biden, but the delusion comes from people like you who can’t see that Biden is a cishet white billionaire who gives as little a **** about the people in this country as Trump did and the policies he’s enacted during his presidency prove this. Joe Biden has failed to improve our failed healthcare system and is maintaining the status quo. Joe Biden has rushed to declare the pandemic as over prematurely early because it was politically inconvenient for him. Joe Biden has reinstated Trump-era immigration restrictions and family separation policies. Joe Biden has increased drilling capacity for oil, which will be disastrous for the environment moving forward. The Democrats’ only real achievement has been to bully a still-living Supreme Court justice into retirement (like Trump did to Kennedy in 2018) for a younger replacement to take his place. Joe Biden isn’t a billionaire, certainly, but he has always governed in the interests of billionaires. His support of Big Pharma, blocking student loan borrowers from declaring bankruptcy, and advocating for endless war to benefit the Military Industrial Complex throughout his career being prominent examples.
