Jotham Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I'm excited for this. I think the series works better as a TV show rather than movies.
LittleStarmen Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) Sounds like an expensive woke flop. The movies are perfect and they dont even feel dated. the effects still hold up even Edited April 4, 2023 by LittleStarmen 1

The movies are perfect and they dont even feel dated. the effects still hold up even the effects and such are not the point. The movies are good for what they are but in alot of ways the are watered down versions of the story that either changed so many details and/or left out so many details of the story. A tv adaption is exciting because it would allow for so much more time to actually flash out the harry potter story in a visual way the way it deserves. They will be able to include so many more parts of the story and won't be forced to leave out so much like the movies did. I mean, for god sakes, the damn movies even left out dumbledore's funeral, that is insane, the tv show would most likely have an entire episode solely focused on the funeral for example. I'm so down for this and have said for 20 years that it would be better off as a show than movies. 2

Maybe another 10 years plus would have been more appropriate.

Bosque Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Is it actually a reboot? No one asked for this. Can they show something new in the universe?

Abracadabra Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Will it be a retelling of the original story or based around new characters at Hogwarts? Tbh this does feel a little early but then you remember that the last movie came out over a decade ago, I'm almost surprised this didn't happen sooner.

Power love Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I just hope they cast the right ages this time. It was weird reading the book then my mouth dropped seeing the actors ages.
