Taylor Swift - "Safe & Sound", "Eyes Open", "If This Was a Movie" (TV)

Speaking of her releasing them as an EP or nah, does anyone know if this will count for a debut on the Billboard 200 if it’s released as an EP? Considering the Taylor’s Versions count as new music for Billboard, and they have no parent album to go to… I would assume so, but I don’t know. Maybe someone does.

If released together as an EP, presumably they'd count for the BB200, yes - I don't think 4 songs (that aren't remixes of one main track) would be few enough to be counted as "just" a single and excluded. But these kinds of things are a little odd and evaluated on a case-by-case basis sometimes.

Yeah, like we have seen many cases of short EPs (Kpop ones for example with only 4-5 songs) charting. And it being a digital-only release shouldn’t have any bearing on it either, because plenty of rap EPs without a physical release chart. But you know, considering Billboard and some of their weird antics involving her lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if they invent a reason out of thin air for it not to chart :toofunny3:

Taylor is SO insanely smart it’s scary. Orphaning ITWAM so SNTV will be 100% self written (as it won’t have a deluxe and all songs will be standard this time)
But in the mean time giving ITWAM its rightful resurrection and spotlight. Not to mention S&S/EO which deserve that too ahhh my ******* fav

The funniest thing is that if she REALLY decided to run for President she could actually have a real shot of winning based on her massive fanbase alone :rip:

it's not about them being re-recordings, it's more about the length, if an album is shorter than a certain number of minutes then it doesn't qualify to chart. Drake released a 3 songs ep two years ago (where the they debuted at 1-3 on the hot100) but since the project was short it didn't chart on the billboard 200, I'm not sure of the number but it should be in the range of 17-20...

but the thing here is as dumb as it sounds to release them as separate singles when they're being released on the same day, they don't make sense being together in one musical project. but also at the same time it would make it easier for casuals who will not search for them induvially to have them in one place which would increase streams.

Does anyone here have information on the release to the streaming platforms? I want to know if she'll drop them as seperate singles (f.e. Lover - Live From Paris) or in a collective EP.

This will have a very significant effect on the streams they'll garner.

All tacked onto the end of Speak Now (TV), set to be released next month :gaylorcat2:

why doesn't she make this an EP of collection of her soundtrack songs (the 3 songs + Crazier, Sweeter Than Fiction, IDWLF) pretty sure it'll get her another quick #1 debut

i'm now wondering when is she going to release crazier (tv) if the theory of speak now (tv) being completely self-written is true.

i thought crazier (tv) was going to be included on speak now (tv).

Yeah but it was recorded in 2008 prior to Fearless, but then again she didn’t include it on Fearless TV so who knows. :michael:
