Absolutely no one expected her to pull a Harry’s House and Dua is a much bigger streaming (and current) artist :deadbanana4:  it’s not like it matters like that when Miley is literally almost 20 years into her career.

Pleeeease miley cyrus doesn't have 20 years of career as music star. Her career as "mature" pop star began in 2013. I don't use mature as a judgment about the content and the quality...i mean her music was only played by teen radios, her performances were only disney and nickleodeon (not mtv or others).

That's the year when she started to play the adult game, for the GP and everyone over 16 miley is a kind of fresh name as pop star and not someone with 20 year of career as Pink or Christina aguilera, Avril and Britney  :gaycat7:

Miley real peers are katy perry, arina and those popstar owning from 2013 to on.

So why was her stans claiming she was bigger than Taylor and Ariana and stuff like this

Flowers is bigger than Anti-Hero and Positions, that’s pretty undeniable :deadbanana4: would like to see who *actually* claimed Miley is bigger than Taylor, not the songs.

Miley went from having no support on her career with RCA to finally having decent support with Columbia

that’s not true tho. the song just happened to take off on tiktok and that was not because it received a better roll out from the new label. she’s done nothing since flowers dropped until this disney plus special.  yet she was performing all

over the place when midnight sky released, even with the 2020 lockdown.

Just saw you on twitter with this lame ass theory as well. Harry's House is outstreaming Midnights standard daily (both 13 tracks) despite being 6 months older. And it debuted with 98.4m.

You replied to people pointing that out "but As It Was does most of the streams" which is fundamentally wrong. As It Was does 4M+/- and Harry's House does 10M+. Midnights has Anti-Hero which does 3M+/- and also does 10M (slightly less). So Harry's House is doing incredibly similar numbers to Midnights despite being 6 months older (10/11 months vs 4/5), and its lead single is doing better and is more stable than Anti-Hero.

Including Sza in this was also really weird, because Sza isn't even with Columbia, she's with RCA. And to that you replied "but RCA is under Sony" :skull: which is a ridiculous statement because Miley went from having no support on her career with RCA to finally having decent support with Columbia. And not to mention that SOS outstreams Midnights 3AM (both have a very similar amount of tracks with SOS having 23 and Midnights having 20)

Taylor Swift fans of all people coming up with conspiracy theories about labels doing payola has to be peak hipocrisy.

Miley did the same numbers with ESV than she did with PH if you take away Flowers, and that's with PH having a longer tracklist. There's nothing sus at all.

I dont know Whose Twitter you are talking about. I didnt tweet anything regarding this. Go try to spy someone else, I actually like Miley a lot

People also bought midnights en masse, I know me and my friends personally mostly listen with the hard copy we bought which is gonna throw off streams

this doesn't even make sense! party in the USA, see you again and others were super successful! her career didn't start in 2013 with her mature image lol

in that case Justin Bieber's started in 2015? make it make sense

What? were you expecting more?

I mean, it's disappointing Flowers didn't translate into album success, but this has been the pattern in the whole post-Bangerz era. Malibu and Midnight Sky were hits, but the respective albums struggled to keep the momentum. Whether this pattern is good/bad I won't judge, but I don't think there's a huge decline there. Just another proof that she's a weak album seller.

Miley got autoplay and TTH support plus she got radio play out the gate with Flowers, don't play dumb

And she's now getting full support for River, she's #1 on TTH with River and #7 with Flowers plus this on the radio...

The rollout for the music is perfect when it comes to label support. The rest is up to her management and herself. If she doesn't want to lift a finger it ain't Columbia's fault.

The album is still good

Flowers eclipsed the album.

A Swiftie on twitter tweeting this at the same time as you posted your original post about it being "sus". It was either you or you saw it there and brought it here. Either way, wrong.

There's nothing sus about any of this. She has a worldwide hit and her album will probs do well enough. I don't get why it's such a big deal.

less than FN... in 2023... with +50% more users... with Flowers doing 17M in a day... oh welp
We were expecting her Harry's House/ Montero but it ended as her Gloria/Special

FN still had two smash hits that were heavily promoted on Spotify

Midnight Sky also got decent playlisting (there was no autoplay at that time). The issue was radio

She didn't get two tracks on TTH's top 10 at the same time. And the radio support is insane for Flowers, it has a 110M audience and it started before the song smashed. RCA did do Miley dirty and Columbia corrected that. The problem now is that Miley isn't promoting herself, idk why she chose to do that, maybe she doesn't care, but blaming the label for that sort of stuff is tired.

Wow.  These are bad numbers.  And Miley has been an A list artist for a while even in spite of flopping.  Not really lots of ways to spin this.

Isn’t This good considering shes been around a long time?

Does anyone really think Miley is as big as Dua, Cardi, or Selena :rip:

She had a viral smash, it is what it is. No one was ever really checking for a Miley Cyrus Album.

Yes but a lot of it is just due to Flowers resonating really well with the GP and having extremely good callouts on radio since release. It also benefited from being released at the same time as the viral Shakira song especially for latin countries. I don't think that Flowers smashing compared to her other leads is "only" due to the label.
