A lot of these independent EDM labels list “rosters” of artists who have previously made appearances on the label (Nicole did a track with Dimitri Vegas and David Guetta in 2022, released on Smash the House sub-label, House of House), but most don’t have the artists mentioned locked into any sort of exclusive contract. Nicole is, more than likely, just a notable name to pad the roster.

she's almost 45, long past her prime from the 2000s. whoever thought a bigger label would sign her in hopes of mainstream success wasn't being realistic anyway...

That would make more sense tbh.

that makes sense and still doesnt at the same time. why would they link them as "artists" on the rooster? :rip:

It’s just a way to lend the label some clout/validity. Not that this isn’t a “valid” independent EDM label — there are hundreds just like it that release quality dance music by well-known and relatively well-known producers on a track-by-track basis — but they don’t have the funds or infrastructure to provide A&R or long-term contracts for their “signees”. I mean, it’s a pretty insular community of producer/DJs working the mainstream EDM festivals and most would be happy to release music on Dimitri Vegas’ label, but for the purposes of impressing outsiders, it benefits them to promote the fact that they’ve worked with these recognizable artists.

The sudden influx of Nicole threads is making me want to rediscover her music.

Lemme stream Killer Love and Big Fat Lie and see if the GP was right to kick her to the curb.

No idea about BFL but Killer love was solid: poison, killer love, dont hold..., wet, club banger nation, desperate are bops. its like a mix of rihanna and jlo from that time

The verdict is in! Interscope, RCA and the GP did Nicole dirty!

Her albums should have easily reached at least the top 40 on Billboard. I hear potential top 40 Hot 100 hits and a handful of Bubbling Under Hot 100 songs. No shade.

She could have at least had some more top 10 dance hits. I see that she had at least two.

It’s unclear to me why she kept flopping. Is it her last name? People can be stupid about things like that. Is she difficult behind the scenes?

Anyway. Electric chair to all involved in her continued flopation.

some people (aka haters) try to sell that story but everyone, literally everyone that has worked with her, from xfactor to west end, has only tons of nice stuff to say about her.

i think the problem with her is bad management and marketing. and yeah, we can blame interscope and her team after the dolls. but after that, her biggest enemy is herself and her fear of failure

@Walk_Away21

Dx she needs to stop with the botox and fillers because it looks like shes in a constant state of suffering. the drop needed to be longer. another verse and for her voice not to be pitch corrected during the chorus with an actual music video and this could've been a cute hit for her.

no shade but is she in therapy? i know she has alot of internalized hate going within herself and her doc years ago and comments her mom have said made it seem theirs alot of demons left unresolved. bad management and lack of promo for sure. because she can really do it all and more. does she not realize by not doing nothing in itself is a failure in itself lol
