If they really want to make a sequel it should be revolves around the plastic.. Cady can be replaced with any protagonist character with same story but noone cant replace the plastics.. Cady was a Plastic for most of the movie she literally took them down, her performance is what makes the whole movie work.. Gretchen is so underrated too (and it's only because her career didn't turn out as acclaimed/hasn't done big movies since), Lacey did just as good acting (if not better in her role) as the others. Honestly, Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and Damien (Daniel Franzese) aren't replaceable either, even the other lesser characters didn't half-ass their job, Mean Girls is prob one of the best casted movies ever.
