The Prince tribute was beautiful but the Michael Jackson one was very tacky and cheap to me, I literally left when it started at my second show lol I'm ready to see the boxscore of the dates in my country, I'm excited for her arrival too I'm sure it's going to be a MESS with the press and the fans wanting to see ha The GP loves that part

The remaining dates will probably bring in like 30 or 40M for a total of 220/230M as expected. From 80 shows it's kind of amazing tbh. Its also her shortest arena tour since RIT 20 years ago. If her American shows hadn't been delayed, tickets resold and without her 5 cancelled shows this could've been easily at least 250M in the end.
MP3 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 35 minutes ago, Jjang said: I think the Mexican dates are gonna be the cheapest of the tour, no? It was 143$ on average for the RHT so I expect something higher, maybe 150$ to 160$, but yeah it will be among the lowest of the tour

The 400$ tickets were regular prices for all the lower bowl of the arena, and the upper seats were like 250$, so the 263$ average is weird, I expected something above 300$ on average. But still high numbers for a 9,000 attended show

She still made tons of money + she probably makes a fortune from merch alone. All I know is next album or the movie better have budget! 1
Elusive Chanteuse Posted April 3 Posted April 3 There shouldn't have been so many dates in Texas anyways. That red state got too much

Dark Phoenix Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I think that Burning Up is fine but too similar to the RHT version and thus she could have done Borderline (rock version), Lucky Star is amazing but since it's a dance number it won't have had replaced BU. JML could have been shortened and please sing in full PDP! TBW interlude needs to go, it's recycled and she could have used another song for that. LIB is such a highlight and an audience favorite so it should be performed in full. DCFMA is odd in there, it should start as the standard version and evolve to the remix. I couldn't care for Rain but it works, Frozen works too and TAB is lovely but it's too demanding for her. LAV needs to be done live!!!! BIM is ok but it should lead to a proper medley with Music or Celebration and do a sing a long with the audience, it ends too abruptly. Anyway, nothing will change and there won't be a second leg, mama is tired and she's ready to move on. And so, since we are at $190M now and still have 11 shows to add (since the Rio won't count) then I guess it's fair to say that this will indeed close between $220M - $230M right? Not bad after what RHT achieved, it's also her third biggest tour after S&ST and MDNAT 1

Bubble Tea Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I feel like this big Rio show well and truly confirms its the end of the tour. Asian / Australasian leg dreams snatched.
Chris Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Everyone bickering in that songwriting thread reminded me of how good Madonna's album used to be with less songwriters. 1

tiagol88 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 1 hour ago, Chris said: It's true. It's not needed and the armography is not it. I sometimes wonder if people even know anything about Madonna. That's one of the highlights of the show and the audience knows it. That's why they always go crazy. Imagine removing the biggest Blond Ambition tour reference Also...singing Papa Don't Preach in full in the middle of sex songs is such a weird thing to do, her going from Erotica to PDP and then Justify My Love, lmao. It makes no sense. Have y'all seen the show? At least change songs that could make sense to be switched but that the storyline would still make sense. Madonna isn't doing a GHs tour with a lil band where any song can be played all the time.

Where is that queenmadonnasomething member screaming at us "THE SHOWS WILL SELL OUT THE NIGHT OF YOU FAKE FANS!!” now less than 10k attendance per date is certainly not sold out. not even close. Obviously the re-scheduling took its toll on the ticket sales. not dragging her, she's still doing better than 90% of other arena tours and esp. at her age it's super impressive.

What does that 100% mean in the Touring Data post then? I always take that to mean 100% sold out? Is that not accurate?
