ariesgroove Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 (edited) finished the album and already in love with it the album having such seemless transitions made the listening experience so much more pleasing! i love how the 1st and last track feel the same yet so different thematically! she really did follow up take me apart with something serious! the production is just 10/10. some favorites off first listen minus the singles: missed call fooley closure raven bruises sorbet she’s done it again i fear!! TrueBlood Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 My biggest concern with this record is that it's a bit too samey for it to be this long. Had it been cut of 4/5 tracks, it would have been perfect and an early AOTY contender.
JoeAg Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 DAMN IT! i fell asleep cuddling with my coworker, so it’s too late for my first listen nightwalk guess i’ll hold off til after work later today…

jesus del rey Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 This album is AMAZING. So minimal, so effortless and so gorgeous. The flow makes it perfect. It feels like so water-like but at the same time its very 'city dark at night, you are leaving the club somewhat drunk and you just saw the person you've been eyeing the whole night kiss another person at the dance floor', idk if that makes sense. I fear she has topped TMA, which I thought would be impossible to do so.
Pop Life Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 This is so much nuanced than Take Me Apart. The intricacy. The layers. I'm speechless
Antisocialites Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Sorbet is the best song of all time. Why?
Contessa Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I listened to this non-stop all day yesterday but somehow it sounds even better today?
fossora Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Oh this album is GODLY esp. after the first half, I literally transcended while being high af…and I didn’t expect that after hearing the singles (even though they’re the perfect groovy rnb songs) l
shookspeare Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 The way you all made this sound like some ambient Enya album, there's so many boppy moments on here even if it's generally downtempo
worldwide angel Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 the cover compliments the music so much it really feels like diving in dark water

I actually was thinking the same thing about Renaissance both have such sick and smooth transitions and bring you into their own worlds
