I'm not actually, I just don't expect anyone to tour to Poland anymore :skull: I always have to go to Berlin

Ohhh, gotcha. Mess haha.

Sadly, I fully expect her tours to keep serving "Anglosphere only" given that she hasn't toured in the entirety of continental Europe for a decade now :weeps:

Justice for Gag Order

Not surprised it’s basically a greatest hits tour but this album deserved so much more, every song had the potential to slay live, but I guess that’s not what the audience wants nor she tbh

just surprised Fine Line and Happy didn't make it.

I was hoping for Fine Line Acoustic & Happy.

Happy live would have been phenomenal, but at least we got the acoustic performance a while back.

No Fine Line makes sense because it's clearly too heavy for the mood she is currently in.

Now there being no Peace & Quiet is the actual crime because that song is literally meant to be performed live.

We should have known all of this anyway when she rebranded the tour lol. Clearly she wants to reach a wider audience to come out to her shows

People on Kesha Discord who attended the show said her setlist was cut short because Jake Wesley Rogers performed for 50 minutes instead of 30 and security had to intervene and tell him to stop, that's why Kesha did not perform some songs she had already rehearsed.

Don't know if true, but makes sense and maybe a silver lining for the upcoming shows and people who are disappointed about the setlist.

Now why would he perform more than what he was scheduled to perform? 💀

I don't know, maybe he got confused for a moment or was a bit too "in the moment".

Apparently he started late too (don't know if true).

The setlist would be absolutely perfect with a couple more Gag Order songs. At least Hate Me Harder made it though!

And when she performs her complete setlist and none of the new additions is from Gag Order, then what?

Ugh, tbh I hate opening acts. They almost always all suck or are super boring 💀

The opening act for lana del rey the other day just kept going on and on...

Honestly, I'm mainly shocked that there's only one High Road song. With the way she was talking about the tour and especially that album related to touring, she mentioned in multiple interviews something along the lines of not truly being able to perform the songs from that album live, I kinda got the impression this tour would be a weird mishmash of that and Gag Order lol

Soooo, Kesha reportedly rehearsed at least C'Mon, Kinky and Peace Quiet as well and also told at least one fan who attended the meet & greet that she was going to perform The Drama too.

Jake Wesley Rogers allegedly both started performing his set too late, performed too long and the transition from his stage to Kesha's took too much time.

I really don't understand the shock and outrage at how minimal the set design is, especially when the aesthetic anchor point of the era is minimalism :deadbanana2:

The only tour of hers that utilized LCD visuals was the Warrior Tour. The Creepies Tour, Rainbow Tour, Kesha Live, and all the way back to Animal Tour / Get Sleazy Tour all had nothing going on in terms of set dressing. It's one of my favorite things about her as a performer -- you literally go to a Kesha show to watch Kesha perform. The lighting and stage layout is incredible and she looks and sounds the best she ever has. I already know I'll be gagged for the Eat the Acid bit.

That said, I'm shocked and not surprised at the same time that she essentially dropped Gag Order from the set. I'm shocked because the setup and design lends itself to a more Radiohead-esque intimate and sonically immersive experience, but I'm also not surprised because she's headlining a solo show, the GP is eager to see her, and sorry to say they likely would be disappointed if it was just Gag Order with Tik Tok and Praying tossed in.

For us fans, that's the show we've been dying for, but she is an in-demand touring artist that has a reputation for putting on a fun, incredible show. She's popular with a younger audience again so it makes sense she'd forgo to the weight of Gag Order and go for a lighter experience that everyone can universally enjoy.

I still wish that she had kept at least the initial few shows/leg of the tour the same as before and then after switching legs/next set of shows revamp it to the current Only Love tour.

She said in the Modeliste Magazine interview that Rainbow and Gag Order are her favorite albums and that she wants to be remembered for standing up for her truth...she NEVER spilled harder :jonny5:.

Quote

What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on to date?
My favorite project I’ve worked on to date is a tie- my album Rainbow and my new album, Gag Order. Both were very healing.

What would you like people to remember most about you?
I hope people remember most about me that I really stand firmly in who I am, I know who I am, and I know what I believe.

I want to be remembered for really standing and who I am standing in my truth, standing in uniquely and uncomfortably the person that I’ve become. It can be really hard to stand in who you are and know who you are. There’s so many different ways and people that will tell you it’s wrong or second guess you and you start to question yourself.
