SING-OFF RESULTS

now it's time to hear what the judges had to say about the performances :flower:

up first, it's Sean Paul!

QcWpL1m.png

here's what he had to say:

Quote

billie: the visuals and pacing really helps make this a good performance

yerin: hard for me to connect to this when it's not her own song she's doing

foxes: didn't really get much from this. the random crowd shots are also distracting and doesn't serve an overall purpose

doja: I think it's fine. I expected some form of movement but she sounded good enough stationary

please welcome judge Caroline Polachek to the stage!

here's what she had to say:

Quote

Billie: Cute staging, nice vocal performance, and it got cool by the end with the lights and setup/Finneas' guitar/the rain. I really liked it even not being a massive fan of the song!

Yerin: She always has such a beautiful tone and vocally did most of the song justice (although she ran out of breath at a couple points nn) everything considered it's decent

Foxes: Honestly, this just didn't do it for me at all :(

Doja: She looks great and it was a decent vocal/rap. Song choice kinda detracts from it, it's not the kind of track that warrants a performance like this

up next, it's judge Ally Brooke!

here is what she had to say:

Quote

Billie: the transition was a saving grace, cause that ate.

Yerin: she sounded good, but it’s a cover? That is disappointing.

Foxes: I was confused by the interjections of audience members visually, but she sounded good and I like how it was shot otherwise.

Doja: she sounded good and the stage setup was great way to have focus on herself and her vocals.

whew!

let's move on to our next judge, Ellie Goulding!

OUp3m9e.png

here's what she had to say:

Quote

• Billie - I've never really connected with this song or understood the hype but THIS PERFORMANCE.... just absolutely slayed for me. I finally got it. Her command of the stage and the way she and Finneas were just having the best time ever. Great pick.

• Yerin - A very nice vocal! She's always giving us a gorgeous and consistent tone tbh.

• Foxes - I am screaming at the gay in the hat interacting w her in the middle of the song fff. She sounded fairly nice at times, but a bit sour at other times unfortunately.

• Doja - I feel like this was strong. It didn't engage me like the previous Sing Off performance that you sent, but it was objectively a good and straight-forward performance.

nice formatting :clap3:

and finishing off with judge Lexie Liu!

igAkZZE.png

here's what she had to say:

Quote

Billie - The transition had more impact here than on the actual song itself (digitally). She owned the stage, even Finneas was good here. :clap3:

Yerin - She really sounded great. It takes a lot to sing Bey and actually slay it so I'm gonna give her props to that.

Foxes - The random audience shots here and there were kinda distracting, she sounded really nice tho.

Doja - The performance was just okay to me, not really outstanding but it was alright.

after we have heard from the judges, next post, we will find out who will stay... and who will go????

who will have the best averages and who will have the worst averages  #StayTuned

SING-OFF RESULTS

welcome back to the most slaying show in the whole atrl history

we have heard from the judges about their thoughts on the performances already

now it's time to finally know who stays and who goes...

the first act staying with the averages of 1.00  which means every judge ranked them FIRST is...

Spoiler

Billie Eilish

@K$Ellie

congrats! you're safe to slay another day!!!

and then there are 3....

the last act staying with the averages of 2.40 is...

Spoiler

Doja Cat

@EscapismRoars

congrats! you're safe to slay another day!!!

Spoiler

which means i'm sorry, Yerin Baek and Foxes. your averages of 3 and 3.6 are not enough for you to stay. and unfortunately, your time in Diversity 5 is up.

thank you so much for applying  i kinda view both of you as dark horses in the competition tbh

cause like both of you have had times where you slayed and with yerin, you have won a round!

while foxes was really doing better. so it's sad that your time got cut short.

hopefully, you will come back in season 6, maybe with a new artist or the same ones!

thank you and good bye :heart2:
