WhalieX Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Is Starship announcing that IVE comeback today? People were saying they were coming back too often and they took that to heart.

I’m kind of sad because when CEO Bang said he’d use some of the Spotify payola he uses for BTS, NJ and LSF for SM artists, I was excited to see it because we’d be able to gauge just how many of their Spotify streams are organic. Or maybe Hybe didn’t think SM was worth the price. Shows how profitable SM is anyway.
Antunes Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 so nmixx is currently the most successful artist in jyp when it comes to digitals

Zack Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 14 minutes ago, BTS said: Or maybe Hybe didn’t think SM was worth the price. They obviously did or they wouldn't have been hitting up Morgan Stanley for a $1B loan to acquire a majority of SM's shares. Bang PD obviously wanted SM but was doing so at "any cost". The shareholders were unlikely to be happy with all the loans being taken out to achieve this. HYBE was already having to take out quick loans to pay for the shares they already bought. Plus Kakao has already infiltrated SM's board and employees, which is why all those crazy YouTube videos were being released. It damaged HYBE by association and caused friction and made a takeover by HYBE very difficult. And finally Kakao recently got a huge $1B cash injection from Saudi Arabian government in January, on top of their own existing cash reserves. There's no way HYBE can compete with that kind of money without loans. OT: I think this is good news because SM needed to keep its independence, which is more possible with Kakao (even though that company is horrible).

It doesn’t make sense I just said sm's physical sales are suspicious cause of how they don't match the streams, I even dragged nshitty and adspa and both are my faves I brag about bp's sales here when there's a new update I believe in those album sales but where are people streaming the music when its fueled by ads on youtube and n/a on spotify? make it make sense Edited March 12, 2023 by MonsterNavy

Seeing as their biggest group ever is from SM’s mastermind Min Hee-Jin, it’s no wonder they wanted a $1B loan to buy SM. Too bad Rafranz couldn’t Cash App them the money in time.
