Pluto6 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) SKZ being #4 and almost outdoing every release so far this year with with a Japanese album Btw, they would've debuted way higher if they didn't release the title track a whole month earlier Edited March 5, 2023 by Pluto2022
Luckitty Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Produce 101 did irreparable damage to the kpop industry.. the amount of survival shows (& the way all of them are rigged and filled with favoritism), the "ending fairy" mess, etc

LSM started pushing the idea of rotational groups back in the mid-2000s. Super Junior were supposed to be a rotational group but fans were already invested in the boys because they were famous pre-debut so the fans forced them to include all of the members and scrap the rotations. It happened with Red Velvet, too. YG is just being smart as hell and knows how to get people engaged. I didn’t watch half of the BaeMon debuts but I started watching immediately after his announcement.
Dialamba Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 YG best marketing strategy in kpop better than JYP leaking OO no one was tuning in then they said we will cut some members. Now everyone is rooting for the Yunjin&Garam clone and Lisa’s daughter

illia Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 the way Le Sserafim had so much promo and so many perfomances in Japan several companies should take notes

Releasing fearless in Japanese is so lazy but on the other hand the Korean version already did sth their so it makes sense releasing a song you know the gp will eat up.
fauxtography Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 ok the twice preview kinda looks like a full on RESET

Hazy Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) slaying effortlessly I hope they won’t release any of their previous singles in Japanese, the Korean versions already did their thing edit: or maybe they should release Hype Boy to make that song even more iconic Edited March 5, 2023 by Hazy

NCT 127, GOT the Beat, STAYC, THE BOYZ, Monsta X have all released Korean comebacks. Btw, there was only 6 new songs on the SKZ album with 2 of them being pre-released including the title track, which means that there was only 4 new songs when the album was released. The 1st week streams of those old and pre-released songs were only included from when the album was released and not when they were stand alone singles (which was the time where the those songs were in their peaks in terms of streams). Btw those numbers listed are only 1st week cause the album as a whole has now almost 50M streams, not bad for a Japanese album I fear It's always the BOTS stans discrediting SKZ I swear, like we get it, BTS are bigger than SKZ, like give it up Deelishis Edited March 5, 2023 by Pluto2022

You should become a politician or something. Sweetie, that's not how it works since it's literally a Japanese album, like let's be real a lot of Kpop stans don't care about Japanese releases Take a look at TXT's Japanese numbers before talking SKZ's Japanese album right now has almost 50M streams already btw, which is something TXT will never reach with a Japanese album. Btw, it's mostly 2-3 songs carrying this SKZ album, since most songs are just Japanese versions of their older songs, so a lot of people usually skip those As I mentioned earlier the title track was released way before the album, which means that the actual 1st week streams of that song weren't counted, and the tracking of the title track was only counted from when the album was released, which was a whole month later where the hype had already died down a little, just like how TXT went from having 1M daily streams for "Sugar Rush Ride" during the 1st week to now having 600K daily streams. If TXT decided to release the album a month after releasing "Sugar Rush Ride" then they would've also debuted with way less 1st week album streams. Btw, I never indicated that SKZ with a Japanese album would get more 1st week streams than TXT and NewJeans, so I don't understand your motive Edited March 5, 2023 by Pluto2022
Pluto6 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 That user should instead worry about Circus (a Japanese song) soon surpassing TXT's only Korean comeback last year in views Both songs were only released a month apart from each other btw. (Japanese songs does not use ads btw)
