illia Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I think it's for the better for Teddy to NOT produce for baby monsters he has the blacklabel gg to take care of too so he better save up all the best hits and blackpink rejects to his own gg first

45seconds Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I haven’t been keeping yow it’s kpop. Is TWICE really a bunch of flops now fr?
Gaia Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 what the hell happened to this group. They had Wa Da Da, had some success then completely changed their sound to be a generic z list group

So it seems like it is MHJ herself that was able take her group to the next level due to the concept, music and the way she has marketed the group as However it is definitely weird that a huge group like NewJennies' are having atrocious and abhorrent YT views, yeah I know that they don't use ads, however their like ratio is also bad with almost none of their MV's passing 1M likes etc. Other groups are still stomping on them on YT even if you were to remove their ads. YT is still the number #1 site after Google and has the biggest reach globally (more than Spotify ever will), so y'all better stop downplaying YT just because your fave is doing horrible there. I've always wondered about this Like, when BP was dominating, they had everything. Album sales, youtube views, spotify streams, social media, etc. It makes no sense to me that they consistently sell more albums than they get likes on youtube But their social media engagement on their instagram is high (some posts have 2M+ likes showing they are popular) If you look at google trends they aren't close to BP in searches (or even TWICE) so its like bizarre to me they're smashing so hard when no one really knows them. BP is being searched 6x as much but NJ is snatching their streaming records on spotify and stuff I don't think it's a conspiracy theory or anything, but I do think HYBE is definitely pushing them on streaming services because they are doing so abnormally well there without having any recognition (especially in the west). For a group that's under a year old they've already had 3 songs on TTH It's so interesting to watch their success even as a non stan because it's so bizarre

They just need to release a normal music video, Hype boy and OMG performance videos have way more views than their official videos. You can't expect explosive views when they release multiple versions or videos longer than 6 minutes.

OrgVisual Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I mean NJ was pushed on Spotify and we know it's true looking at their playlist reach (public data) and how Hype Boy was the first 4th gen song added to TTH (it charted lower than After Like and other songs at the time on Spotify charts). But I don't think they are all payola, like they really are popular right now. Just that their stans claiming "organic" and "not lifting a finger" is very out of touch

Gwendolyn Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 (edited) Gen Z isn't using YouTube like the way we used to years ago - music video views are DOWN across the board, we mostly stream music on Spotify and other streaming platforms - which is where the popularity shows. NWJNS also mostly appeals to the GP and their stans dont throw huge streaming parties, mass streaming or mass buying, meaning they have lesser sales than BP at the moment. Blackpink came from the mass kpop stanning culture of the late 10s, with record breaking and buying was all the rage. Also their music videos are long ass hell, meaning their performance videos get more views. Edited February 20, 2023 by Gwendolyn
OrgVisual Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 The Babymonster videos.. Why they look like contestants in a survival reality show
