So basically as most expected, album sales are getting bigger not because the KPOP fanbase is growing (it's in fact, shrinking like Bang PD warned us) but because of stupid factors like competition between pre-established fanbases and rich Chinese fans who have the money to bulk buy.

 

The album sales have become a useless marker of popularity and don't show the true reality of what's happening to KPOP globally, which isn't good. When KPOP has to worry about SEA of all places, it's time to ring the alarm bells. Somethings wrong and something needs to change fast.

 

That's why Bang PD is out here crying about needing to take the K out of KPOP or something...

I don't feel like she's going to spill anything new, although it is interesting that she said people who date just need to be honest about it in the company. Reminds me of that 'member' in her book who blamed Jessica for not getting in trouble with her dating the way she did. Methinks some SNSD members were mad about getting caught dating that year early 2014 but Jessica's insinuating that if they were honest with the company the company could have been more on top of things.

Yall forget that Hybe has a deal with Dispatch and Dispatch isn't really in the business of exposing idols anymore - they extort money now from companies who happily pay up to keep things hidden. I mean really when is the last time there was a 'New Year's Couple Reveal' that wasn't a couple of actors on their way to getting married? LBR

 

I just hope these 4th gen girls are staying away from predators and groomers but I guess that's too much to ask for in the KPOP industry.
