All I know is that Kpop stans have adopted them, which means that they are indeed part of the Kpop circle and culture

Whether XG are Kpop or not, they ended Kpop this year and had the best releases with QUALITY and VIDEOGRAPHY

If you consider kpop a genre, industrial process, or an entirely unique entertainment medium they're kpop. If you consider kpop to be korean popular music, they're not that.
