Harrier Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 5 minutes ago, Gaia said: I remember when EVERYONE stayed up for year end performances because it truly felt iconic. 3rd gen just purely became about profit for companies and you started to see the razzle dazzle performances fizzle out and 4th gen doesn't even attempt anything. Just a cute 30 second dance break and a music show performance. It's sad. This is all true, but I think also it's just that 4th gen acts - broadly - can't perform in a live arena/concert setting as well as 3rd and especially 2nd gen acts could. Their training is different: they're better at working the cameras for music stages. They're better at tight choreo. But the aspects that make live performances in these settings better - live vocals, stage presence... many 4th gen groups are lacking and their award show performances just come off as overly rehearsed, samey, and lifeless even when companies rarely do invest in them. Watching an award show from like 2011-2015 compared to now, it's night and day 2
Gaia Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 (edited) What an iconic moment this was though Wendy really was in her bag in this performance Edited October 31, 2023 by Gaia 1
Gaia Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Ugh just so ******* iconic. RV highs are just so high its insane. But they have some equal lows 1

Save-Me-Oprah Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 all the awards are rigged, whom cares if they can't rig an award for someone they'll just invent a new category

No singing just dancing. And the worst is that some performances were >10 min long
