Has spent majority of its run below 15M) Currently at 14M Like, yall need to stop using streaming stats as "Drags" when your faves are pushed harder. SM is notoriously HORRIBLE at pushing their acts on streaming (outside of useless ads on Youtube). The only way comparing streaming would be an actual accurate comparison is removing playlisting altogether. Didn’t better things debuted with 27M And is still stuck at 25M after a month. i am has half the playlists reach of after like and it took them both 77 days to reach 100M streams. 2 1

They had a massive writing camp and used Sophie for a lot of the references, one of the writers revealed. Since Sophie was the reference, I wonder if Sophie herself took part in the writing camp/sent some demos If she did it for ITZY, why not aespa? Edited September 25, 2023 by Flomik
Odette Violet Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 (edited) I still don't get this whole discourse and payola over spotify when the idols themselves couldn't careless about it. They rather be on Top of Melon or Billboard with sold out albums and concerts than getting billions of streams that wouldn't even help them pay their rents Edited September 25, 2023 by Odette Violet 1

The English demo is called sweet n sour. Seems more like it’s a demo from the vroom vroom era that itzy bought according to internet speculation.

Who cares about spotify outside of twitter and stan circles anyway? They girls are out there slaying without 1B streams and 58566970 playlistings Edited September 25, 2023 by Odette Violet
Odette Violet Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Indonesians sure loves the girls. China, Japan and Brazil may have a competition
Pluto6 Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Just because your faves are doing bad on global streaming, does not mean that you can downplay streaming as a whole and take away other people's achievements in that field. 1

Butters Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 LE SSERAFIM maintaining 9 mill monthly listeners despite no new music since spring and the lowest current playlist reach out of their 4th gen peers. Where's their comeback announcement omg stop sending them to these lame ass shows

The song quality and appeal obviously also has a part. No amount of playlisting can force people to play a song they don’t want. But acting like it’s not a factor when it clearly is is just a way to downplay acts. Not every song that has smashed on Spotify has done because of playlisting. But there have been MANY songs that have done well on Spotify due to being plastered everywhere. Idk why you’re acting like it’s an absolute as some retort. Song quality AND promotion matters. hallucinate Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 tbh dragging a group for not doing well in one metric (while great in others) just feels a bit dumb 2

I hope the latter
hallucinate Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 lbr it’s very rare for a group to smash on every metric like BP was the only girlgroup who constantly did great everywhere and it took 6 years for another gg (NJ) to do the same same with bgs, no bg is still touching BTS for example 2

Odette Violet Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 I guess I'm a Wonyoung akgae now. Sorry Miss Sakura
