Like, yall need to stop using streaming stats as "Drags" when your faves are pushed harder. SM is notoriously HORRIBLE at pushing their acts on streaming (outside of useless ads on Youtube). 

 

The only way comparing streaming would be an actual accurate comparison is removing playlisting altogether.

i am has half the playlists reach of after like and it took them both 77 days to reach 100M streams.

I still don't get this whole discourse and payola over spotify when the idols themselves couldn't careless about it. They rather be on Top of Melon or Billboard with sold out albums and concerts than getting billions of streams that wouldn't even help them pay their rents

The English demo is called sweet n sour. Seems more like it’s a demo from the vroom vroom era that itzy bought according to internet speculation.

Just because your faves are doing bad on global streaming, does not mean that you can downplay streaming as a whole and take away other people's achievements in that field.

some songs get insane playlist reach with crap overall numbers. promo =/= success.

The song quality and appeal obviously also has a part. No amount of playlisting can force people to play a song they don’t want. But acting like it’s not a factor when it clearly is is just a way to downplay acts. 
 

Not every song that has smashed on Spotify has done because of playlisting. But there have been MANY songs that have done well on Spotify due to being plastered everywhere. 
 

Idk why you’re acting like it’s an absolute as some retort. 
 

Song quality AND promotion matters.

Melon is important for kpop acts based in Korea, but also downplaying the world’s biggest streaming platform Spotify which generates millions of dollars in revenue for so many artists… is strange as well
