are you suffering from some selective reading issues? because there are tons of my posts where I praise some of the aespa’s songs and whole savage ep (and NingNing queen)! it’s just that I can’t stand some mys and because of that (and aespa’s weak stage presence) I’m not able to stan them fully - maybe we suffer from the same illness but mine is focused on mys and yours on blinks  it’s just that I’m not calling anyone stupid, crazy, obsessed and so on… and not insulting the girls, I never did that and never intended to do that so maybe in the end we’re not like each other

I asked why mys are pressed over NMIXX when they are considered much bigger? NMIXX doesn’t deserve the lashings, they are talented and their latest ep was good, I hope they will get back on track now 

 

it just feels like mys found new punching bag because ITZY is kinda lost and they can’t compete with IVE and NewJeans at the moment 

 

edit: also, who am I defending in particular? from the recent time I only remember taking Mel’s side and it wasn’t about their opinions but about the fact that this thread likes to gang up on them AND I backtracked from that position about a few posts later?

Dives, Bunnies and fearnots rarely care about who is the only number 1 Maybe their fans should take notes

They also can’t even compete with LSRFM either. And even G idle was bigger than them last year.

aespa can't compete with anybody when they're inactive. What's not clicking? Certain groups that are consistently active and allegedly 4th gen leaders aren't catching up to aespa anywhere but spotify. 

 

Also I've never seen any Mys coming for newjeans. There's a huge overlap in fandoms and other than some weirdos(like a certain Blink in this thread) throwing around words like p*do, newjeans is universally liked even outside of the normal kpop audience.

In what exactly? Streams outside of Korea and nothing else? Because in sales, touring, digitals, domestic popularity, etc aespa are much bigger. I'm not even going to start on griddle.

when it comes to GGs, casual listeners play a huge part in their streams

aespa's music might be too "noisy" for some people so it's one of the reasons

the other reason would be lack of playlisting (actually it would be really nice if someone compared the playlist reach of 4th gen ggs’ latest comebacks)

 

with that being said i think they are doing well for themselves on spotify tbh

and at the end of the day there is a spot and a moment for everyone on top, if NewJeans and IVE can share, so can the other groups

aespa had a comeback right after LSRFM and just before NJ and IVE last year, but the only thing they have is sales and those weren’t even reported to IFPI, as other user already mentioned 

 

they didn’t manage to come on top neither internationally (and they had big US promo) and neither domestically

Sales : LSR latest album recorded 1M sales in week and they didn’t turn one year. And let’s not even talk about japan sales , they’re obligating every GG right now 

LSR doesn’t have a world tour right now but they can easily book domes in japan. 
Digitals : Fearless has 500M digital points and has a better longevity than savage which got a PAK, let’s not even talk about AF. 

I don’t stan them but it’s funny when people act LSR aren’t in the top 3

almost everyone was cheering up aespa when they had NL and Savage but then mys started s****ing on EVERY gg that existed at the time and now some people are surprised that people are pointing their own words and behaviour rn 

 

I don’t see such things for IVE, NJ and LSRFM stans
