I just looked up some of the album trailers and the views

LFL 3,4 million

NFR! 2,5 million

UV 2,4 million

I mean, her fans certainly care

True. I just feel like we go through the same **** with every release of hers and I honestly never get the time gaps in between. A good example was the LFL trailer and then the actual release date.

But at least we got a trailer. This time, we are just getting nothing. :skull:

Honeymoon had her best rollout to date, "here's my album, September 15th"

What is the issue besides vinyls

Nobody is entitled to anything lol we all willingly choose to stan her. Nobody is forcing you to follow her under a microscope. She simply is not an artist that is interested in promo and yes, it is annoying.

This is probably going to be wildly unpopular, but I do feel like fans are somewhat entitled to an era.

She is signed to a huge record label and almost all of her income comes from her fans. I don’t think we’re entitled to an instagram live everyday or constant communication on her part (which has never been her style) but I’m not gonna pretend I don’t think she, as an artist who knowingly signed a contract, should be saying and doing nothing.

Obviously things are happening behind the scenes (photo shoots and a possible video) and I’m sure eventually we will get an ‘era’ but it’s been almost 2 months since tunnel came out and all we’ve gotten is a delay. The album was announced to soon for how little they had done, and while I appreciate the insiders, having so much spilled this early is getting people annoyed instead of hyped.

that said, I’m confident the era is going to start in March, and it’ll be pretty big.

OK, but then again, why aren't y'all streaming the new single and rather stream WC, Y&B or Summertime Sadness?

Don't get me wrong, I don't address you personally, but we know each other for a while, so you'll probably get me anyway 😁, but she did promote when a song fared well (Doin Time), but when the new single is only #11th or #12th  most streamed song daily in her discography, it seems that there is little demand for new music

Vinyls probably are the whole issue. Ever since Billboard changed their rules she (and almost every other artist) has been forced to wait until vinyls are day 1 ready. Lust For Life is the last album she released that didn’t have to have vinyls ready to ship immediately

I see we are at the anger stage in the post-delay grief cycle today

I think some of the problem is her older stuff just streams extremely well, and her old songs keep going viral. She has 10 year old songs out streaming some artists’ newest albums. Tunnel is almost out streaming one of her own album by itself. I’d say the demand is there, it’s just hard to get in the top 10 when so many songs are still bringing in crazy unheard of numbers.

Also, before Tunnel came out I was getting so many Lana ads of Facebook and Instagram, but since the single came out I have only gotten maybe 1 or 2 ads. I feel like they know her core fanbase is going to stream, regardless of if she promotes or not, but besides the TikTok girlies nobody knows she released a song

Watching the spiraling happen before every Lana release is always so funny and the way Lana gets more quiet and insufferable with her absence each release has to be intentional :dies:

I agree tho that if she’s not gonna do any promo, just drop the ******* lead single a week before the album or just drop the album with little announcement. It would do way better commercially anyway, her team is to blame.

Tunnel should be doing around 400-550k daily streams. It's currently under 300k.

So obviously it's time for another track. Doubt it's gonna happen around the Grammys. Probably two weeks after.

The delay made everyone insane :deadbanana2:

35 ish days compared to 50 :skull:

I agree. I think mid/late February makes the most sense because then the album is around 1 month away.

We all remember how Dealer took off after release and they did nothing. So it would surprise me if the new "single" is A&W, cause well, you know, obvious reasons

they never do what makes the most sense, so it’ll probably be an interlude or Sweet :penguin:

the only reason I think it’s A&W is because of her instagram caption and chuck’s picture with only AW showing. That’s Lana’s version of an Easter egg

The flops of the album will be the two interludes, Kintsugi, Paris Texas, Margaret, Fishtail, and Peppers. Sweet, Fingertips, Taco Truck, and A&W will be mid. Mark my words
