The song was pulling around +80k daily for some time (which was already impressive for a 2011 album track). Then, some Bayonetta fans started doing tiktok edits with the song, someone decided to use their audio for a Wednesday (the new Netflix show) edit, and the rest is history. The song is not featured in the show, by the way. This was all organic.

 

I have a feeling that Netflix will start using the song for the show though, either for Season 2 or maybe some promo vids of Season 1. They are aware of the smashery.
