BB felt faceless (minus title track) and whilst I bought the CD I did it with a stans heart, not necessarily enjoyment. Unpopular opinion but Delirium at least felt like a "sell-out/pop" EG album, BB felt like a caricature. So far, both songs have the same faceless vibe but I'm holding out hope. LID did give me a little EG Delirium I'll admit. Edit: Listening to the snippets I'll go for: Better Man and Higher Than Heaven. All by Myself is a bop, pure absolute bop but it's tacked on for streaming so... honestly outside of the singles that were tacked on for sps reasons but hits bb wasn't a faceless album at all. delirium is a great pop record for ellie but could've benefited from some filler trimming. 9 hours ago, lola4789 said: Maybe she hasn’t released anything because of her anxiety idk, but of she wants to boost sales or visibility. She needs to do something before the release 🙃 has her anxiety always been this bad of an issue? felt like i saw her everywhere before and now not so much

But apparently it has gotten much worse since she became a mother. And these past months she’s been talking a lot about having anxiety. So I think that might be on of the reasons as well…
Better Mistakes Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I can see her getting dropped and then not releasing anything for 4/5 years after this album. Hope I’m proved wrong though.

I just assumed this was triggered because she was burned out from working so much :/ 27 minutes ago, lola4789 said: It has been something she’s always been dealing with. As a fan I'm getting worried because you never really know with these celebrities what's really going on. 18 minutes ago, Better Mistakes said: I can see her getting dropped and then not releasing anything for 4/5 years after this album. Delirious Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Wtf is her team doing. Imo they should postpone it to Feb 10 to lock the #1
Heartbreak Prince Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 What a mess. Are we sure they're not just moving the release date up a week & something got lost in translation? Seems like the most stupid idea to only move the digital versions up.
lpd446 Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Why in the US only, of all places? Also release a single!!
AGMDZ Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 not her label sabotaging her again. watch her pulling a 5SOS' CALM moment back in 2020 where their label sold some copies a week before and they couldn't get a proper debut on BB200

It still says 3rd February everywhere else, weird the physical CD says ships on or around 4th February…

I mean honestly, she's not getting a UK #1 this era. Sam/Ava will have it on the 27th, and RAYE will have it on the 3rd. There is no point in delaying or moving it up to avoid this.

I've been looking for a good source of info about upcoming albums for a while now, as atrl isn't that good of a source on this anymore since World Eater stopped being in charge of the upcoming releases thread OT: I'm only excited for Temptation tbh
lola4789 Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 There is still a chance she gets number 1 in the uk

I do have a feeling that everyone is dropping on or before the 3rd because of Rih's superbowl and possibly R9

She'll be (likely) coming off of a #1 song in the UK and has physicals up for preorder as well. Easy Lover, All by Myself, and Let it Die haven't even charted in the UK. To be clear, I'm still really interested in this release but it feels like there is just no hype from anyone regarding this (even Ellie). I'm sure they bet Easy Lover would have been at least a moderate hit in the UK/US like I thought when it first came out and I don't think anyone was prepared for how underperforming it really was. Ellie's getting to the age though where finding these hits is not as important as it was before. She has an excellent discography and younger generations still seemingly enjoy songs like Lights/Burn/LMLYD. After this era, she really just needs to focus on making music that she enjoys and building up her fanbase again.
Alex Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Polydor obviously scared of RAYE and can't let an ex-artist on their roster beat their own at the #1 so i get it
Crank_It_Up Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 The way Polydor has done absolutely NOTHING to build any type of hype even though the album is gonna SLAY... Still gonna be checking this out on release day but damn, what a way to kill off every bit of any type of excitement for her career/music.
