China debuts new hit 'suitcase bowling' meme

OUCH. A new meme out of China, ‘suitcase bowling’, is taking over the Internet!

Two people at the top of the escalator tried to send their bag down on its own. However it did NOT stay upright – tossing itself down and rapidly gaining momentum until a woman – who sees it coming and tries to outrun it – gets knocked down.

The bowling victim, taken away on a stretcher at the end of the video, reportedly received minor injuries and has since recovered fully. This all happened in Zhejiang province, China although more specifics, including where this happened, aren’t clear.

Here’s the original video shared by Chinese state media, which has racked up over 10M views across all platforms:

Social media has really rotted our brains. There's no reason why we (including myself) should be giggling at this :biblio:

As if America's Funniest Home Videos wasn't a thing before social media. And you should see what people did for entertainment in the year 1500.

Dangerous moment! A falling suitcase tackled a woman on an escalator in E China's Zhejiang. Luckily, she was slightly injured and is safe now.

What do they have against this woman? :biblio:

Social media is a disease. I hope the Chinese authorities don’t mess around dealing with these idiots, we know they will want to set an example so others don’t copy.

Member when public executions and gladiatorial combat was the main form of entertainment for the populace?
